After some initial confusion over the estimate and some email problems, the estimate was offered and accepted and the work was completed on Sunday 7/1/07. I was very pleased with the work and also that they've guaranteed it so if it leaks again they will fix it.

Short but to the point: Workmanship is great, BUT communications between the office and me was maybe one star. Also workers did not say anything about being short on ridge cap material and would be back latter. The sales rep was very good as a rep of the company.

slow...poor communication...slow to correct mistakes...left roof shingle dumpster on my property for almost a week after job was done...very slow to provide ins., etc. documents.... not sure if they will be counted upon to live up to warranty should a problem come up... thanks

J&D was the first contractor out of four to contact me by phone. They sent a professional proposal via email and we negotiated some specifics. The job was for a house that I rent, so I wasn't actually there to evaluate their work first hand. After the job was supposedly completed, my tenant complained that the roof was still leaking only in a different spot. Furthermore, the workmen accidentally spilled a bucket of wood stain onto the patio carpet. I talked to the owner of the company and he assured me that he would set everything right. He did and I am quite satisfied. In my experience, few contractors back up their work as did J&D.
