We couldn't not be happier with JDS. We hired them to put in an egress window and finish a room in our basement. The quote we got from JDS for the egress window was very competitive, and the quote for the basement was extremely competitive. The quality of work was excellent. It was done in a timely manner. And the owner and his employees were delightful to work with. We will very likely hire them again.

The entire JDS team was such a pleasure to work with. Kudos to Nick for going above and beyond during a torrential rainstorm to complete the project. They were so careful about cleaning up, and other details as well, which make all the difference. I also asked a million questions, which they were happy to answer.

Jordan and the JDS team were great start to finish. I have never seen a harder working group of guys in my life. I had a big window installed and they blocked off the area inside my basement so I had no dust or mess. The window is exactly what I wanted and looks great. About 2 months after the job was completed the ground started to settle outside and there was some sinkage around the window. I contacted Jordan and he sent a guy out right away to backfill with some extra dirt and now it looks perfect again. The true test of a great company is the follow-up and JDS exceeded my expectations in that regard as well. A very good experience! I highly recomend JDS.

I found Jordan, the owner of JDS, and his brother Josh to both be very professional and customer service oriented. While Jordan ran into repeated problems finding the exact window that I needed (which meant it took several months for work to begin after I'd paid my deposit), he kept me informed throughout this time. When work began, I was impressed by the size of the crew on the first day of this seven-day job. However, the junior crew member only worked the first day. Also, due to an unavoidable family emergency (which I learned about through the onsite worker), neither Jordan or Josh were able to be onsite for several days. That left only one person working on my job for two or three days, which slowed things down. He was a hard worker and appeared to know his trade. But (after a neighbor complained) I did have to look up and share with him the hours during which Montgomery County ordinances permit loud noise caused by construction work. Another problem was that I was not well on several of the days JDS worked, and I was unable to check on work progress on those days. A wall that had to be rebuilt (to replace a previous wall) was not built to match the size of the previous wall. I hope to be able to discuss this with Jordan and come to an equitable resolution. But overall working with JDS was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend the company.

I had an egress window installed in my home by JDS Home Improvement. Jordan, Joshua Jones and all of the work crew were very professional and kind. The quality of the work is superb. The installation of the window was completed in a few days. The staff cleaned up well.

Jordan and his crew installed and egress window and added a bedroom to the lower level. I had another contractor scheduled to do the work, but he was a no show and after months of waiting, I reached out to Jordan and JDS. I could not be happier. JDS did excellent work, they were always helpful, professional and completed the project well within the estimated time frame. The few hiccups we had were easily fixed. I would definitely hire them again!

Jordan and his team installed an egress window in my basement (now required for basement finishing permits, and for general fire safety). They did an excellent job and worked hard (rain and shine) to make the window and surrounding window well look great. They also installed an effective drainage system, which I recommend if you have a window well installed. Jordan was upfront with his quote and evaluation of the job, and gave the best price without any high pressure sales tactics. His team also did a great job containing the worksite, and they were respectful of the property and neighbor's properties. They also cleaned the worksite very thoroughly (inside and outside). Overall, I highly recommend JDS for egress window installations, and I will be hiring them again for exterior trim work.

Excellent all around! Jordan and his team are true professionals. I hired JDS to work on my rental property in Rockville, MD. The work included a complete kitchen remodel, new windows, siding and gutters. I had quotes from several other contractors and chose JDS because of his no nonsense approach. Since this is a rental property, cost was an issue. Jordan offered some great ideas to maximize my investment. Jordan made this whole process completely stress free. He took the time to listen to what my needs were and delivered. Timing was another big factor because of loss of rental income during construction. Very efficient and professional. I particularly liked the way that Jordan kept in touch every step of the way to let us know how matters were progressing. Although we did not seek other estimates, my impression is that JDS was 25% or so cheaper than other builders would have been.

Prompt, neat, efficient. Jordan made choosing the options very straightforward. He got it all organized and then came in and powered through the project. Egress windows are clearly one of the things he does best.

They performed the work on the days promised and the quality was good. They were not the cheapest quote, but we are satisfied, Finish work could have been a little better, but overall a good job.

JDS re-built the front of my garage so I could replace two garage doors with one garage door. They got the permits and did the engineering work to define the engineered beams to cover the 18ft span. They worked with the garage door supplier to ensure every detail was coordinated. JDS also replaced my kitchen window, too. They are fast, know their stuff and got it done on time and with in budget. Great folks to work with and the crew left the work area broom clean every day. I will use JDS for my future home improvement projects for sure!

We decided to replace our two garage doors with a single garage door but this required installing new support beams to support the 18 foot opening (now that the center support was being removed). Jordan engaged a structural engineer to conduct the engineering review and recommendation to support application of the building permit.Once we received approval Jordan and his team properly constructed a temporary wall to support the fifth bedroom over the garage while they conducted the demolition and installation of the new design. They showed up on time, left the area broom each day.

Jordan was polite and professional at every step of this basement egress window installation project. JDS was the only contractor who included finishing the interior walls (sheet rock). Although there were unexpected challenges obtaining the work permit, he still completed the project at the early end of his estimate and within budget. I am very pleased with the finished product and would contract with JDS again.
