I think that Owens Corning should open the market up to competition. I like their basement product but it is priced far too high and the consumer has no way to get competitive quotes. I had to trim my basement finishing plans back in order to be able to afford the system. They never made a detailed drawing which caused days of rework and tension between myself and the installer. Small increases in scope cost far too much for what I got. You should be able to buy the product at Home Depot and install it yourself as it is easier to install then drywall. I have been asked to wait 3 weeks to fix problems found in the final inspection.
