Using J&H was a very bad decision. I paid a lot and was convinced by Justin Williams to use the service. I think he brokers other companies. I was charged for services I did not receive, the movers did not come on the day they were supposed to, labor hired on craigslist was used, and furniture was damaged. I was told insurance was not necessary. I filed a claim, have a written email from Jack that I would be reimbursed for the special packing I did not receive, the tabletop is broken as a result, and damaged couch. After 5 months, the insurance company said they no longer did business with J&H and to contact Casey. Casey, Jack, and Justin have all ignored repeated emails. I have contacted HomeAdvisor who says they no longer have a relationship with J&;H. I am going to file with BBB and the Dept of Transportation. I have written a record of all of this. Please do not use them. Please do not believe any positive reviews you see online. It has just been awful.

During Covid, we were promised a dedicated truck and no sharing with other parties. However, when the movers arrived at our new out of state location, they had picked up another client along the way and had to unload several boxes before getting to ours. The movers did work hard moving our furnishings and boxes from our home in MASS. but at the end of the day, the truck was filled and not able to fit our remaining 6 patio chairs, thereby the chairs were left behind and are now residing at our friends house until we can figure out how to get them from MASS to NC. J and H stated they would get the chairs to us. However, that has not yet happened. Also, we have not heard back from the claims department regarding some damaged furniture (the movers ran out of packing tape, shrink wrap, and some furniture was left bare and not protected). And unfortunate experience, when it started out so good with Casey, our assigned account manager. I had faith and trust in the moving company we selected. I am still hoping for an amicable resolution.
