We got a contract that indicated all the work to be done. In our case it included new double front doors, 4 sliders, 10 windows, an insulated garage impact door, installation, and permits. The windows were supposed to arrive in 90-120 days. Almost an ear later the installation occurred but J Howen had some financial crises and had to hire a subcontractor to install the windows. The garage door was never installed and when we went to sell the house and permits were pulled by the inspectors, they found no permits causing to lose the sale of our home. The owner asked me for a referral because her financial crises was causing another client to back out of the deal for similar reason. When I inquired about the permits, the owner blew me off. She got what she needed from me and that's all that mattered to her. Now, I have to deal with this issue again to get the permit matter resolved and get my money back for the garage door that I paid someone else to do. Stay away from this business!!!

It appears they are now out if business. I bought hurricane shutters and impact resistent custom windows. The shutters are fine andnwere installed (2 years ago) promptly and for that I give them 1 star. The custom windows however took over a year to get installed with excuse after excuse. Finally they came and installed about anyear ago and now I have leaks in my downstairs immediately below the windows. Since they're out if business I'll have to search to fine someone to fix their screw up...whatever it is.

They did a horrible job on my installation, their hurricane shutter is not properly installed and they refuse to come and fix it. In my opinion and based upon my experience they act like scammers. The last time I called to get this fixed I heard a supervisor tell the person I was on the phone with to hang up on me. What legit business does that? I selected indoor Shutters only because there was no option or ability for me to type in the work we hired them to do. We hired them to install hurricane shutters

It's a scam

They are scammers. My deposit of several thousand dollars was stolen. If you have been victims file a complaint with the Florida Attorney General, Palm Beach county Consumer Affairs and the Sheriffs Dept. Do not do business with this company or its affiliates they are thieves!

Stay away. Did not deliver windows. Never paid the suppliers. Kept our $6700 deposit. We also learned that there are a number of homeowners in the area experiencing the same.

I am still waiting for the project ( Storm shutters/impact window) to be completed (since Feb). Their level of communication is extremely poor. It takes several e mails/texts before I even get a response. They keep shuffling me from dept to dept. While I can understand that there can be supply chain-related delays, the least I would expect is for them to keep me posted regularly. At this point I have lost my hopes that it will get done this year before the end of the hurricane season. While I may change my rating if I see their job, it will have to wait. The salesman sounded great until I paid the deposit. After that I don't get any response. I went with the company as was led to believe that it is Florida-based Company and I wanted to give support to local company. I am more than disappointed to say the least. Surely I would like to think they want business. What does it take for this company to keep communicating with the client?

So far, so good. Professional; on time; well priced. I hope the installation goes as smoothly.

They were very professional and I could always reach someone to help me, in the end they took care of the inspection with the county for me. I didn’t have to do much at all.

I can't say enough wonderful things about dealing with J Howen doors. James, who installed my garage door was extremely courteous and professional. Before he left my premises, he made sure that everything was immaculately cleaned up, and that everything was put back in the proper place. He did an excellent job! Robin, the owner of the company was like dealing with a family member. She was so caring, and wanted to be sure that everything was done to my expectations. She couldn't have been nicer! I must say that after doing quite a bit of research, I definitely chose the right company. The price was right, and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. I needed to have my 11 shutters serviced and have the locks replaced. From the beginning, their staff were pleasant and wonderful to speak with. Helen was the person that I dealt with regularly, and I think we were best friends in another life! She was that awesome. Their prices are more than fair and the crew that they sent over to do all of my hurricane accordion shutters were very professional, efficient and amiable (special shout out to Anthony Gonzalez and his men). I couldn't be happier! I highly recommend this company.

I have NEVER experienced the service like I received on my shutter maintenance and repair service! Their office staff and tech are entitled to more than 5*'s. I followed the tech around taking notes and he provided a wealth of maintenance information I'll need for the future. They are my "go to" folks and I'll certainly recommend them to anyone in need of such service.

I am sorry to write this review but people should know, I hired them for my upstairs shutters only, once the finished the job, they made some minors mistake, anyway, they fixed most of them but major mistakes they did to my first floor. They close all the pre-existing holes and I can not put the shutters anymore, I called multiple times and explained the situation, now they do not even pick up my phone and left multiple messages and no ones even bother to call me. Very, unfortunately, this type of company tells you they are the best before you sign the contract once you signed u do not see them. Kazi.

This company was prompt for the appointment that was set. I mistakenly thought that my appointment was a previous day but when I inquired as to when the service person would be coming out I noticed my error. The service man did show at the correct time, lubricated the shutters for me but could not repair the one shutter that I was concerned about. I probably would not have requested their help just to spray some lubricant on the shutter tracks for the price charged but I also realize that the cost of travel, the service man's time etc had to be properly covered. I just thought the charge/service without the repair was something I could have done. Overall I would recommend this company since their response and level of concern was very good.

I had an excellent experience. A team of 5 arrived at my home prepared to install 19 hurricane shutters and the job in four hours. The staff was professional and courteous. I will definitely work with them for another project which is the installation of impact windows for my sliding glass stores. I am a very happy customer.
