Reviews
Write a ReviewJust a super positive experience overall. We were always kept in the loop on what progress was going to be made in the coming day or week. The workers became friends we looked forward to every day. They turned our sad dungeon basement into a light and beautiful and airy and cozy space we actually want to go spend time in with our tiny kiddos. =)
Hired to perform work at a local Historical Society. They were fast, efficient and communicated well. Went above and beyond, stayed within budget. Great work. A+++++
The job was done.
Hi Linda, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We take all customer concerns seriously and appreciate the opportunity to address them. I?d like to clarify that we conducted a final walkthrough together, during which you signed off on the completed work. It?s concerning to hear that you feel differently, especially after we returned to address many of the problem areas. We would like to understand more about your experience. Regarding the project, we applied two coats of custom paint using a roll-on finish, which requires more time and care than a spray finish. If you have identified areas needing touch-ups, we are more than happy to return and address them at no additional cost. Your specific team brought over 50 years of combined experience to your project, and your Project Manager, Spencer, closely monitored the work. We were looking forward to meeting again for a second walkthrough, which was canceled, would you like to reschedule? Additionally, we want to clarify that all of our reviews are genuine reflections of our clients? experiences?none are paid for. We truly care about your satisfaction and would appreciate the opportunity to resolve any outstanding issues. I?ve sent you an email and left a message on your phone, and we look forward to your reply so that we can work together to ensure the work meets your expectations. Thank you once again for your feedback. We are eager to hear from you and restore your confidence in our services. Warm regards, Jayne Page COO 414-426-2200
Good work but needed to point out obvious areas where they didn?t fix the masonry.
Friendly service, timely quick completion, very happy.
responsive
I hired them for several related repairs. The original estimate was a little high but I had a time issue they said they could meet. They did not meet the time issue and blamed it on the rain. Could be the rain, but I had to call them three times just to get actual information about when they were coming. Then, they did not complete two out of five items in the estimate but immediately invoiced me for the full price of the original estimate. I had to call them to get the invoice corrected and the amount they credited was again, probably short about $200 but of course, there is no way to make an argument. Once it came time to collect, all of a sudden their communication was fixed and an owner came to my door to pick up a check. That was before the adjusted invoice. I said I wanted to pay with a credit card so they started emailing a link to a pay site immediately, and then follow up linked emails with *past due* on them within about 12 hours. Oh. The work they did do was perfectly good but the service was so bad I cannot recommend them.
I've worked with many contractors over the years and JJB is the best I've worked with for residential remodeling. That's no small statement. JJB is responsive, communicative, on-time and on-schedule, does not cut corners, always willing to tackle new issues or problems that arise during construction, respectful of neighbors / other tenants, and very fairly priced for the quality of work that they provide. We even had some city permitting issues from prior construction that JJB was able to take on and get cleared up. I can't express how much headache this saved me! On top of being great contractors, Joe and Jeff and their team are also just great people - very personable, easy to communicate with, and a pleasure to be around. They really desire to make their customers happy and to do good work. You won't find any cheap shortcuts or shoddy work with this team. When the time comes for another construction job in the area, they will be my first call. I really can't give much of a higher recommendation than that!
Good quality!
