J&J Cleaning Services

I strongly recommend NOT hiring Jamie (J&J cleaning services). I recently had an awful experience and was left speechless when I returned home following her cleaning. I requested an estimate a few weeks ago, she called eight away and sounded wonderful. She then scheduled a free in home estimate which took place a week later. That all went great. There was a complete understanding and agreement of the services I required that she'd provide. Yesterday she showed up for our scheduled cleaning, a little late but I thought nothing of it. I waited home to let her in, then the kids and I were going to leave so we wouldn't be in her way. For 40 minutes after she showed up, she did nothing but follow me around trying to tell me stories and show me videos of her dogs, following into my bathroom as I was getting myself ready, as well as the kids. I even offered multiple times to help her carry her supplies in, and even offered to help her start cleaning, because she was holding us all up and not working. Eventually when we were ready to go, I left my cell on the fridge just in case, asked if she needed anything, went over areas that really needed cleaned, and even left some of my own supplies on the counter for her. All I asked was for her to clean and dust cabinet tops, door frames, ceiling fans, and areas up high. Bathroom, and then sweep and mop the floors. I explained multiple times that I am pregnant and can not climb to dust these areas, nor move furniture around to clean the floors. My husband arrived home before I did and was working outside while she cleaned as not to disturb her. He called me, said she came outside to tell him she was done, how long it took and collected payment. Although she claimed it took 3 hours and she didn't start until almost an hour after we agreed, I told him to just pay her because I didn't want to start any problems. I was shocked when I returned home. For 2 hours all she did was clean my tub and bathroom mirror, and some extremely light sweeping. She had left a dried milky white residue in my sink, down the counters, all over the trashcan. There was a foul odor. And the floors were in worse shape than before. She never touched any area that needed cleaned. I noticed she made 1 of 4 of my kids beds, which I told her not to do, but that was the extent of her cleaning. I told this woman I'm pregnant, mom of 4, husband is out of state working and only home every 4 weeks and she left us with my husband having to now help clean the areas I cannot instead of spending time with the kids for his 5 days off for Christmas before going back to work. She even raised the price $5 more an hour at the last minute because she said it took 10 minutes longer to get here than she remembered. And I agreed because she was already here to clean. I am disgusted. I trusted this woman in our home. I would love to know what she did for the 2 hours she was here alone, because she did not clean. I also found that a new box of trash bags were missing when I went to change the trash out this morning, as well as one of my swiffers. I urge anyone looking for a maid service to not reach out to this woman. She seemed extremely professional from first phone call to estimate, until the day of the cleaning. I wish I could upload photos here to show how awful her services were.
