J&J flooring and contractors

Working with Jay taught me a VERY valuable lesson. NEVER PAY ALL THE MONEY UNTIL ALL THE WORK HAS BEEN COMPLETED. I paid Jay after most of the work was complete. I had him $2300 when most of the work was completed. The extra parts came in 3 days late. I put trusted him. I thought we built a really good repore and trusted him. I trusted that he would do the right thing. I left messages, I have sent several emails, I have called several times. Then when I called from my daughters phone he answered. It just breaks my heart to know think that people would do this all for money. Now the guys did a good job. But I have 1-stair that needs a nose on it and half of my bathroom do is missing quarter round. Now if Jay reads this and decides to come back and right the wrong, I will be more than happy to update this review. So I hope he does not get mad at me and decide not to come back and finish. Now as for Miguel and his team. They did a good job, but they left tons of dust from cutting the flooring so I had to sweep, mop and dust the walls, and everything in the room where they used the saw. I was not happy with how they did not pull up the old flooring leaving parts of my floors uneven. Lesson learned, DO NOT ALLOW CONTRACTORS TO CUT FLOORS INSIDE YOUR HOME. I had another company do my entire flooring downstairs, and they were VERY professional. They cut all corners very nice, and they used the saw OUTSIDE of my home, and the floors looked new when they were done. If I had to do it again, which I hope I never will, I will contact Empire. Sometimes those extra hundred dollars is well worth it. In closing, I hope Jay will return and complete the work and I do not have to hire someone else. If he does, I will come back on here and update my post.

I recently hired Jay and his crew (Miguel and his team were great to work with) to refinish about 600 sq ft of original hardwood floors in my recently purchased home. They were kind, knowledgeable, and willing to answer any questions I had. Iâ d recommend them to my family and friends for sure. Jay and Miguel thank you guys again for the job well done.

I needed a section of my old floor repaired and also a repair to a splitting hardwood stair tread. Jay was professional, prompt and my floors are PERFECT. I will use him again.

Jay & Jay did an amazing job. The price that they charged was the best quote by a mile. They were there when they said they would be, my hardwood refinished floors look new. Also had carpet installed which looks great. Cleaned up after themselves. I would hire again and recommend to anyone.

Jay is an awesome guy! He answered any questions we had regarding installation of our new hardwood floor and made us feel pleased with our decision to upgrade from carpeted to red oak hardwood flooring. Our new flooring looks amazing! Many compliment the work and stain color we chose for our new flooring. Iâ ve already referred 3 people that loved our new floors to J & J flooring. I am pleased with the quality of work and will use them again. They corrected a sheen error quickly and efficiently. Mr. Ahmad is a very present And concerned owner who addresses and resolves concerns quickly.
