I hired them for a $3500 project to repair an 80ft retaining wall which John’s dad did along with his older friend. The wall was done ok but they cut corners if you aren’t specific on intentions. They left all the mortar lines in between the rocks uncleaned and super choppy. They basically just threw cement in between the rocks but never tried to line anything up. I let them borrow my rake when they needed it for some of the grading they also did for me. They took it and never gave it back even after multiple texts. They also left drink cans and trash from lunch in my yard. Their bob cat broke down when it’s track broke and then they couldn’t finish the grading properly and left most of the newly graded area unpacked which causes wash. I would not use this company again.

The company started work at my house grading and foundation also concrete walls and they have done good work and I’ve known from many others that the company has done good work and here’s proof from what the company has done for me I have been satisfied and happy I’m glad we chose this company I will hire them again

John built a screened in porch, but we started to have issues with rain coming in; the trim around the bottom on the floor has started to crack; the concrete outside has started to Crack. My main concern is having water damage to the wood in the walls. They never return any calls or text.

On time and true professionals

John was very professional. He explained everything that I need to know about what he was gonna do and the task he was gonna do he was, and he was able to clean everything up that he did and he was so professional that I hired him again to do another job for me and I told him that we can start having a business relationship as in anything I need to get done for my backyard. I will highly recommend him for anything, thank you Angie for helping me out. I always keep coming back to you.

The job was not completed to standards. I called John and sent text but he never replied. The built a screened in porch and when it rains it puddles and the stripes around the bottom of the inside wall is splitting. As of two days ago my actual backdoor want close completely. It's been a year and he finally called and said he would come out, but never came. I told a neighbor and they hired him and he never got his receipts and John never returned to complete the inside of the porch. At this point I would not refer.

My patio went from a plain concrete slab to a beautiful enclosed screened in poarch.

John and his crew came out and promptly assessed our deck needs. They were on the job the very next day and built a deck far beyond what we envisioned. We loved that they had ideas and suggestions that we didn’t consider. We’ll definitely hire them again!

I had been trying to find a company that would handle a a rather small residential grading job for site prep before installing a fence. J&J contacted me at around 11am and arrived on-site an hour later to provide a very reasonable quote. Afterwards, they returned with their equipment and very efficiently handled the project exactly to my specifications. I am extremely pleased with every step of services provided and highly recommend this company. Thank you again for getting my project prioritized and completed!

You have to be really specific or they will cut corners when you are not around. They also took a piece of equipment I let them borrow during the work and then left with it and never gave it back even after multiple texts saying hey, if you do not want to bring the item back just Venmo me for it. They also did grading for me and their bobcat broke off it tracks in my yard and then they could not finish the job properly. Basically left in graded dirt everywhere. This is capitalism. Do shady work, get bad reviews. My name is Tyler from Decatur and I would not recommend these guys.

John at J & J Construction have me s quote on the concrete pad I'd asked for, but the price was out of my budget. So he suggested a less expensive alternative that will work very well! He completed the job promptly!

I hire John for a project, the roof over the patio started leaking after I had paid him, they came after 3 months and patched it, the leak came back and it was worse than before, I called him and he never responded until I got HomeAdvisor involved, I had to hire another contractor to repair their work, I was finally reimbursed the the repair work that other company did, I will never hire them again.

Juan and June, a dynamic father and son team, worked well with us and together. They built a flagstone walk that looks and works well for our purpose. They are pleasant to work with and they listened to our ideas and needs. L

They gave an estimate on Monday and completed the job ahead of schedule on Saturday. I am very satisfied with the retaining wall they built and the restoration of the yard that had suffered erosion. Very considerate workers. Will definitely use them in the future.

Working with Joan was such a pleasure. He was prompt and professional as well as knowledge about the best way to accomplish what I needed. I wanted a concrete rampway at my front and garage door to create a step-less entries for a wheelchair user to get in and out of the house smoothly. He also built a wood ramp from the deck to the backyard. I was very satisfied with the work and would use this company again.
