Weatherstripping - Install or Replace
We called to get a quote on a new bathroom in the basement and resurface our outside bar. That is about all we got. A quote for both jobs and then e we were told they would pencil me in, in about a month or a half or so??? Then never heard back from anybody! When I reached out last week I got an email about them not being able to do the job in the basement but could get me another quote??

"We apologize for the miscommunication, as we actually offered you a couple of start dates for your tile project. Although we did have an issue with the primary plumbing vendor plumbing and tried to reach out to other plumbing vendors with limited success, as we require them to be licensed and insured. Sorry, 2020 has been a staffing challenge. Due to the delay when we did not hear back, we assumed you had chosen a different company to perform your project. Again we apologize that you were unhappy."

Window Frame - Repair
Quote came in extremely high compared to competitors and when I questioned them they were kind of rude in their response. Said they are not the cheapest around. When I asked why they did not tell me that upfront so as to not waste time the response was *have a nice afternoon*.

Doors (Interior) - Install or Replace
I hired J. Kelley to purchase, paint and install french doors for our home office. Customer service throughout the project was great. However, after the initial install we noticed that the doors were noticeably misaligned with uneven gaps. Also, the paint job was just average. After alerting J. Kelley about our alignment concerns, they sent out another team of contractors to fix the initial work. The final result was better, although the average paint job remained as the second team of contractors did not repaint the doors. I feel that we likely would have had a better outcome had the second contractor team done the initial install. So, your experience may simply depend on whether you get their --A-- players or not. I do appreciate that all the contractors were polite and J. Kelley was very responsive to our concerns.

Weatherstripping - Install or Replace
J. Kelley responded to the initial phone call promptly, had someone here for an estimate within a day or two, showed up on time for the work (a few minutes early, actually), and quickly completed replacing weatherstripping on 8 doors including 3 door frame adjustments. Total was under $700 and they were professional and friendly. Keeping their number handy for next time!

They were incredibly responsive, professional, and prompt - from the first phone call (with Patrick) after my initial inquiry to the thorough walk-around (with John and Michael) to the follow up call after the work was complete to make sure we were satisfied. They repaired / replaced window sills and frames, replaced 25 boards on my chimney; gutter repair, and replaced garage framing. Workers (Fred, Andre, Anthony, and one other worker (forgive me I can't remember your name right now) were friendly, helpful, and focused. I used J Kelley Group to repair garage door sensors. The door sensors were pulled apart by my grandchild. The garage doors were opening and closing perfectly prior to the damage. Upon JK's review, and installation of an universal sensor, they contacted me and told me that the garage doors still would not opened and that I would need a "new" garage door system. They asked if I would like to have this installed, and of course, I said, "no," because they were working perfectly before. Several months went by before I could give attention to the fact that I still did not have full operation of my garage door system. Another company, I hired, immediately walked into my garage, noticed that the garage doors sensors were not the right kind for my garage doors. Replace the sensors with the correct brand, and I now have full operation of my garage doors for the price of $60, whereby JK charged me $132 and have now refused a full refund. Now the issue is that not only did JK put the wrong sensors in my garage door system but they also tried to sell me a whole new garage system for the low-low price of $487.20 (parts and labor) -- Use them at your own risk!

"To whom it may concern, I hate to hear that a client of ours is unhappy with our work - as we always strive to provide the best possilble customer experience. In this case we made 3 trips to the residence (all scheduled with the client), and each time no one was present. We communicated the problems found via phone since there was no one to speak with or present our findings to on site. J. Kelley Group offers a 12 month transferable warranty, and at no time were we called back after the inital 3 visits to look at the repairs. Instead we were contacted a full year later - at which point the client stated that she had another company complete the repairs. and then proceeded to ask for a full refund. We would have been more than happy to try and address the issue under warranty, but we were never given the opportunity to do so. We stand behind the work that we perform, but we can not address the issue if we are not asked to do so - or if another company is hired to complete the repairs in our place. Handyman for Multiple Small Projects
I had a couple of corners of the upper cornice and trim under the eaves of the roof that had woodpecker holes and one that had a leaking gutter in a roof valley. They replaced the wood, trim and adjusted the gutters to flow to downspouts. They showed up on time, did exactly what they said they would do and cleaned up after the job. The two guys who came out to do the work were very polite and took care of business.

Just awesome! I contacted 2 companies before them. One indicated they could only replace glass on the main level of the home, the other did not contact me after I sent a pic of the cracked window. J. Kelley was responsive, on time and got the job done. I even had them repair my sliding glass door. I would absolutely hire them again.
