He was honest and up front about the pricing and told what we needed and helped us fix the issues we were having in our yard. We were pleased with his honesty and he didn't push us to do more than what was needed to be done like other places try to do.

If you are older and can't use hand tools do not hire. They do No hand work . They could have done much better work for the price.

Fast service, excellent customer service and VERY VERY expensive.

great to work with...pleasant, prompt, listened, flexible. Work was done well, politely, timely. Clean up was a disappointment. Stones, excavated dirt, and landscaping debris left behind, and piled upon healthy grass. I expected more...but realized no haul away was mentioned in the contract. If clean up is included in contract, I would fully recommend this company.

Jim was responsive to my needs and questions. He made good recommendations and provided a clear detailed quote. We haven't started the work as of this date but I expect he will be easy to work with. He is friendly and and quick to respond.

They are not good at returning the calls. They did the job while I was not here, my ignorance. I was told that the driveway would be topped with crushed limestone to lock everything in and I can't find any, at least not the 25 tons that was charged to me. The end of the driveway was widened to accept a semi truck, it is mushy and I do not trust it. I have not called the contractor because it is probably a waste of time anyway. I believe the overall job was done only to the bare minimal standards.

Jim was very efficient. He worked long days in order to complete the job in a timely manner. The drainage work he did was excellent and we no longer worry about flooding from heavy rains. The brick work was also done quickly and professionally. The cleanup was very thorough. We couldn't be happier with all of the results.

He called within 15 minutes and was at my home within the hour. Excellent job, very nice, polite, and professional and the rates are reasonable. I will definitely call him again. All I needed this time was my drive cleared but since he was so prompt and friendly I will be calling him about the landscape projects I have been working on come spring.

JL Construction was prompt, friendly and worked steadily and hard to get the project done. Jim even made a return trip the following week to deliver sand because we asked him to hold off on that until we were ready. He is slated to come back once more to grade the yard once the trench he put in has had a chance to settle. Could not ask for anything more.

JL Construction came out and looked at the job, quoted the price, came back and did the work, cleaned up the worksite, and then called to follow up on the job and make sure I was satisfied.

Jim was personable, professional and trustworthy from our first contact onward. He communicated with me regarding dates, times, costs, suggestions, etc. In a timely fashion and never let me down. His crew is also exceptional: they are proud of their work, knowledge and finished product and they have fun together getting the job done. I am so glad that I sought a company for repairing my driveway through ServiceMagic and that JL Construction was a referral in its network. Neither business is short of terrific.
