I hired them to install bathroom in basement, my issue is after paying half down he never showed up to do the work. His dad came and did the work, but I paid his dad separately.

Beware poor workmanship, failed inspection and difficult to communicate with. Did not pull permit.

If the gentleman would be there in a timely manner he would have a great business but due to his lack of time on the job I would not recommend him to do any work for my friends.

I had a situation in that a less than reputable contractor cancelled building my deck the day he was supposed come start it I found JLK on home advisors and the owner responded immediately. I explained my situation to Jerry and he gave me an estimate and scheduled my work and in less than a month I have a brand new beautiful deck. I know it was his busy season and he just fit me in! Very impressed with his crew and the quality of his work and clean up! - Tracy

JLK was very timely in coming out to give us a quote to fix our deck that had sunken down and not level. The quote that was given was very detailed in what they expected needed to be done so we knew what to expect. The finished project was fantastic and it looked like a new deck which wasn't an easy task. From leveling a very large deck to realigning the stairs etc. Their workmanship was superior. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a job well done in the end.

JLK was the first company quote we received for adding a 16 x 16 deck with rails to our above ground pool. The gentleman who quoted our job, Eric, was professional, knowledgeable, courteous and was able to comfortably provide insight and ideas as we talked through our project. We received our quote within the timeframe they committed to and were pleasantly surprised that the price was both fair and far below that of 6 other contractors in Genesee County. In addition, when the project started, the crew arrived first thing in the morning and went immediately to work. They cleaned up at the end of each day they were onsite keeping the area neat. The finished project was beautiful, structurally sound and shows good workmanship. The team, including the owner, Jerry Neale, was professional, easy to talk with, and had a clear understanding of how we wanted our project to turn out. We WILL definitely be calling them to come back for more work around our house. We would, without question, recommend them.

JLK was very responsive to an urgent need for exterior carpentry work need to finish painting of dormers on my house. The owner was personally involved and the job finished quickly and for a reasonable price. I would recommend JLK to others and would use him again.

Jerry was professional explained each step so I could understand it,the workers came in went to work right away. They were good spirited ,made me feel like one of the guys. My wife loved the job ( thats what we were shooting for). Will have them back for other work.
