This is the third time weâ ve hired Joe. We previously hired him to renovate our laundry room and tear down a kitchen wall, opening up the space between the kitchen and dining room. His problem-solving skills are excellent. In both rooms, he found some issues and quickly resolved them. This time, we hired him to renovate our half bath. Lucky for us, Joe is an excellent problem-solver. The bathroom had two sinks, and Joe discovered one of them had been slowly leaking, which damaged the adjoining wall to a closet. Joe took care of the mold problem created by the leak and repaired all the damage. Joe also came to the rescue in solving another issue. Unfortunately, our first floor ductwork is in the floor of our slab foundation. Joe made a custom-made baseboard (matching the rest of the baseboards) with a cutout for the vent. He also made a custom-made duct to protect the vanity floor from the hot and cold air coming from the floor vent. The half bath was a total gut job. Joe replaced the vanity, mirror, vanity lights, repaired some drywall, painted the walls and ceiling, and had a master cabinet maker create a custom-built storage cabinet in place of the second sink. He also rewired the electricity, placing the outlet near the sink on the other side of the room, and also provided electricity for the mirror and vanity lights. He also removed a bulkhead that previously housed the old lights, allowing more height to accommodate the new mirror and vanity lights. Of course, he had plumbers get rid of the piping for the old leaky sink, replaced pipes for the new sink and installed a new shutoff valve. As usual, all of the work done was top notch. Joe has a fine eye for detail, is very courteous, friendly, pleasant to work with, and never leaves a mess behind. I highly recommend and plan to call on him again for future projects.

He also was able to replace a ceiling return air grill above a steep staircase and lastly to install new draw curtain rods above 2 windows. Mr. Smith kept us updated on the work in progress and his schedule.

Joe did such a fantastic job on his first job of renovating our laundry room (dry wall repair, painting, new tiles and baseboards) that we hired him again to take down a wall between the kitchen and dining room and remove some cupboards over the refrigerator to make room for a new refrigerator. He immediately saw that there was an issue where the kitchen ceiling was lower than the dining room and problem solved it by placing a beam that would support the kitchen wall. He did such a wonderful job it looks like the wall was never there before, and the new beam was well integrated with the existing structure. He really opened up the space, and it turned out even better than we expected. Joe is a master craftsman, and it shows in the beautiful work he produces. A bonus - he does a great job of cleaning up and never leaves a mess. We plan to hire him again in the future and definitely highly recommend!

Needed work done because new washer and dryer pipes were installed on an inside wall because the old ones in an outside wall froze every winter. Mr. Smith repaired all the damaged drywall. You could no longer tell it was ever damaged. He then painted the room, demoâ d an old closet, replacing it with a huge beautiful custom made closet, and then not only picked out but had his floor workers do a wonderful job laying down fantastic Congoleum tile. Mr. Smithâ s workmanship is top notch and his fine skills transformed my laundry room from a wreck to a very beautiful room. We highly recommend!

I hired Joe to build a wall to close off a room from the hallway so I could convert it into an office. A tricky part was finding a door that matched the rest of the house since the original door had been discontinued. Joseph did a great job looking for matches and matching the doorknob and trim as well. He got the job done in the time frame he said he would, and the wall looks like it was part of the original building. Would hire him again if another project arises.

I thought Joseph L. Smith did a fantastic job with a tricky drywall problem that developed during an updating of our powder room. I think his solution was innovative, and we were very pleased with the results. I would be happy to recommend him to my neighbors. I would not hesitate to ask for Mr. Smith to come back for any other problem. He is courteous and professional, and he put up with my overbearingly friendly corgi with grace and composure, qualities that my corgi sorely lacks.

Mr. Smith is professional, timely, and does thorough work. He was honest about what needed to be done with the many projects in my home and already had a plan in mind about how to handle them efficiently. It was a great experience to have been able to work with and be serviced by him and his team.

Joseph was so great! Had a plumbing issue and needed my ceiling drywall replaced. I had received quotes from multiple contractors that were all over the place. Joseph provided a written quote via email (with proposal) within 24 hours for a very reasonable amount. Joseph worked with my schedule, was very responsive, and overall did an excellent job. I ll definitely be using him again for other things.

The drywall repair project was completed as requested. He was always there on time and was very careful about covering up the carpet and furniture to not make a mess. His cost was less than other estimates I got and the workmanship was excellent. I would hire him again.
