While they had the best pricing the selection of available slabs was not very large compared to others. The installers did not have a stone saw and cut every back splash piece manually with an angle grinder which resulted in some not perfectly straight cuts. Our layout is a little unusual with angles other than 90 degrees which proved to be difficult for them. Most of it was fixed with epoxy but its not quite perfect.

I hired JL Solid Stone to replace my counter tops with granite counter tops. The sales team was prompt in responding to my request for a quote and quick to schedule the initial consultation. The process of picking the granite and finalizing the plans was fine. Having the crew come to measure for the final product was fine. Customer service was then very poor. I was contacted the morning of installation with no notice. I was told the crew would be at my home around 4:00 pm. They arrived around 2:30 pm. With no notice, I had not had time to disconnect the sink drains, faucet, or the cook-top. The crew had to disconnect those for me. I was then charged for that work. I had paid for a counter 67 inches long that ended up being, rightfully so, only 44 inches plus the overhang. When asked about the difference I was told the difference went to cover the cost of having the crew disconnect the sink and cook-top. The counters look nice, BUT the hole for the cook-top is too large. The cook-top was in place when the crew came to measure for the final product. When I contacted JL Solid Stone, I was told the stone could be repaired. I declined the repair because I paid for new counter tops, not repaired counter tops. I have left numerous phone messages and have not had any response. I'm still without a cook-top weeks later. Product looks nice. Customer service is horrible.

Darron came to give us a quote, he seemed professional and friendly. We were having four bathrooms done with a total of five worktops and sinks plus we asked for some work to a damaged counter top in the kitchen. We went over to their shop, a long drive, and chose tops and the sinks. We paid the deposit and Darron penciled us in for the following Wednesday. Shortly before the due day we got a call saying that they had double booked and would come out the following week. My husband took the day off work to be in. Nobody showed, he called Darrons number, no reply and no answer to the message that was left. I called again and was told they would be here the following Tuesday, again nothing. Finally Wednesday late afternoon someone comes to rip out the old bathroom, followed later by the 2 installation guys. Apart from cutting the holes in the wrong places for the taps and damaging walls carrying the stuff in and out they took ages. By 8 o'clock we decided to pop out and go take our dog a walk and pop in the shop. We left our 21 year old daughter to wait in with the installers. Before we got back about 20 minutes later she called to say they had finished and wanted paying. We said we would only be 5 minutes but they were insistent. By the time we arrived home they had scarpered in a hurry it seemed leaving tools and an unfinished bathroom behind them. Numerous phone calls and promises of them coming out to finish went. We eventually drove over to the shop and waited outside until we were given the missing backsplash to fit ourselves. Awful fitters, never even looked at the kitchen and was obvious how they left quickly how unprofessional it all was and as for customer service! Wouldn't answer calls or get back to us.

Great result. Small job for contractor so they fitted me in between jobs. They were not specific on time or date luckily they turned up at a time when I could let them work in the kitchen. I get I was a small repair job but need to be more specific on time and date.

Emailed these guys and heard from them the same afternoon. Within 2 days, they came and were able to complete our project - original under mounted sink had been improperly installed by homebuilder - within a few hours. Really nice, cleaned up, and knew what they were doing, unlike our homebuilder's subs, evidently! This was a bit tricky too because the original clips and their "holes" could not be re-used. Thanks to JL Stone!

Fast work, a little pricy, but for a small job like mine, well worth it.

Cleaned as they went and left the job in good shape. Polite, and did all they could to make me pleased. It was a positive experience. Highly recommend.
