He hired unskilled laborers to complete our roof/drywall/siding/etc. Our roof leaks, our siding has bubbles everywhere, there are holes in the drywall by outlets/lights/etc. He basically stopped working when all the finishes needed to be completed. My husband and I finally just finished our house a couple of days ago after months of hard work and more money.

Do not hire this man! We decided to use Josh because he said he could complete our home in 3 months for $240k and it is now month 9, $270k later, we have no cabinet doors/drawers and my dad (who is a reliable contractor!) has to trim out our house, thank god for him! It's funny how everything that was to be completed by subs, has been, but when it came time for Josh's work (finish work) we wouldn't see progress for weeks at a time. He has ignored completion dates as if they were never discussed, no apologies, no hustle, nothing. We even went into rate lock with our mortgage lender hoping this would motivate him. He had total disregard for our situation and when it came time to finally confront him he lied and said everything was our fault. Not sure how someone you hire to do a job can blame the job not being done on the customer. Back to the subs however, we have no idea where he found these guys. Seems he picked up unskilled laborers (to pay them less probably) to do our siding, roofing, drywall and it all turned out terrible. We have bubbles everywhere in our siding, it has to be completely redone! We found out we have a roof leak coming right through the framing of one of our closets, ruining the drywall. There are gaps in the drywall in many outlets and one of our exhaust fans. He won't help us get the roof fixed because he can't even get a hold of this sketchy guy who did our roof! Every time we'd bring up something we were unpleased with (which was not often) he'd get extremely defensive and we couldn't say anything because he had so many excuses. Also, we found out he hasn't paid the electrical company that wired our house or our plumber, totaling about $30k. No idea what he has done with our money or even if there are more people he hasn't paid. Do not give this man your money! There are so many uncompleted aspects of our house, but we got real tired real quick of absolutely no progress for weeks at a time that we felt the need to finally fire him because he was nothing but excuses and there was no communication. But he is manipulative and told my husband he wanted to finish the house and that he could do it in a weeks time! Well 3 weeks later and a whole lot of nothing, we fired him for a second time. All in all, I just really want to save people from the experience we had because it was awful and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Be sure to google "Josh Vance Fargo, ND" before making your decision too. He has 3 judgments against him. Wish we would have seen it sooner. We needed a new subfloor and door replaced due to water damage. JMB Builders was quick to respond to our request and had the job finished ahead of our expectations! Would definitely recommend them!!

It has been over one year & JMB Builders, Inc. has yet to finish our garage addition. Materials are sitting on the drive way & the garage is not finished. When I contact JMB Builders all I get are excuses. It's to the point my next contact with JMB will be to warn them as I'm planning to take accion against JMB for not finishing the project. I would definitely not recommend anyone hire them are they don't finish what they've started. they promised to finish first thing in the sprin when it warms up.

JMB Builders was very professional and timely with offering a quote for the requested service. I would definitely contact them in the future.
