First time dealing with Jim and his crew and we were very pleased with the results. His crew members, Carlos & Robert, did a very fine job in painting of a fairly large family room. They were very careful to cover what was left in the room, retaped a settling joint and misc nail holes and cleaned up as if they were never there. I would highly recommend their services without any reservation.

Jims team showed up every day on time, worked each day and cleaned up everything each day. ecceptional work for a very reasonable price! if you need a painter, J Martino is the one you want.

I reached out and hired Jimmy through a referral. We had a big job to remove a house full of wallpaper and paint. I was told it would be about 5-6 days and the price was good, less than I had expected or budgeted for. Jimmy was very accommodating and his staff was very pleasant but as time went on it was clear the time allotted for the job was not enough as the wallpaper was difficult to take off. Instead of telling me they needed more time, they rushed through the job. There were mistakes and botched trim all over the house not to mention paint and paint dust all in the grain of our newly finished floors. We did the floors first at Jimmy's request. His team was sloppy and did not tape while painting nor covered the floors properly. We were not living here at the time, the house was totally empty. Jimmy did come out to access the errors as he was not there for the job and he did have them come back to fix the mistakes. About 1/2 of the errors were fixed, 1/4 of them ignored and 1/4 made worse (nails in the wall the should have been banged out , primed and painted). I had a contractor in the house after and he asked who painted and pointed out all the errors in foyer of our new home. Addition to all this, I was not made aware that an oil based primer would be used in my 3 year old's room. It's been over a month and the room stills smells, he's unable to sleep there. Smells has gotten a little better but not gone. Jimmy agreed to repaint if we wanted. When I contacted him about this, his response was dicey. I guess since he was paid he didn't care to fix the issue. Customer service was good until after final payment. Now we are left to re sand and paint the room ourselves (all before our second child in 2 months!) as well as fix the other touch ups needed. He told me he gave me a good price cause of the recommendation but that was his issue not mine. I never asked for a discount or expected one, I called him cause I heard he did great work. I would have much preferred the job done 100% correct and not have to repaint my sons room. I guess you get what you pay for. Jimmy told me I should call the pediatrician to ask if the paint smell affected my child, I did and they told me It was dangerous for my son's health. I also called the manufacturer of the primer he used and they suggested a month for the paint to dry, which I did and then Jimmy never responded to come back and repaint. I sent him a follow up email, and I was attacked and I was called names by Jimmy. I am a small business owner myself and I won't ever treat a customer in this unprofessional manner.

They did an excellent job. Showed up on time every day for duration of the project - more than a week. The quality of work was at the highest level. The price for this kind of quality was surprisingly good. Jim - the owner - was very flexible to accommodate all our requests. The bottom line is that we are very happy that we used James Martino Painting company for our project, and we would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Jim and his team did an amazing job - for a good price - painting our home to help prepare it for sale. Their attention to detail was appreciated. When they were done our home didn't even look like we had work done (everything was put back and cleaned up) - except for the freshly painted walls. I will say to let J. Martino Painter paint every room you need painted. I excluded a small bathroom to paint it myself thinking I'd save money - and it cost me more in time and paint (and Advil) than if I had the painter team take care of it.

Showed up on time both days. They even showed up 5 minutes early and knocked on the door at the exact time. The guys were awesome. The owner is clearly very experienced and obviously just a good guy. Great experience overall. Their paint job was flawless and this was not the simplest project. From repairing the walls where needed, painting, etc. these guys are true professionals. We have used Home Advisor 4 or 5 times now and here is what I recommend for your projects, painting and otherwise: find the guy with a large number of reviews (50 ) and best overall rating, then just get a quote and go with it. Don't try and price shop and nickel and dime. You get what you pay for. Use this company. We will be continuing on with other parts of the home soon with the same company for sure. Highly recommended.
