does not finish the work

Unprofessional from the start. The job itself looked unprofessional; gaps in the vinyl plank flooring, tile work crooked, toilet leaked from the floor, shower handle crooked, switches caused a breaker to keep breaking and never returned to complete The other missing switches or fix any of their incomplete and faulty work after several requests. They were firm about getting paid though.

Very customer oriented and was highly professional at all stages of our project. Strongly recommend them on any upcoming project.

HOMEOWNER BEWARE - HIRE AT OWN RISK. If you do hire JnH Construction, then document everything you want to be done, as this contractor will not. He claims 25 years experience, but his quality looks like someone just starting out in the business. Gaps, stair tread that sags, railing uneven and crooked, post holes that appear to not be filled in, and I could go on. Example 1: We asked for a 12x20 lower deck, but it measured as 12x16. Asked Jerry and he claimed that it was a 12x20 deck until we told him we already measured it, and then he claimed someone told him to make it smaller. Of course with no design plans of his own, at least we had a paper asking for a 12x20 lower deck. No one wanted it 12x16. Example 2: The same lower deck was to be enclosed with composite decking, got vinyl soffit instead. That should bust quickly. The contractor was willing to do that work after we buy that composite decking (which was on our paperwork and we should have held him to) but we passed on that offer. Example 3: His contract indicates it is including all labor and material, except he tried to hit us with $1,200 (approximate) of overrun. Would have worked with him, but to this point, it has been exhausting to deal with. Someone with 25 years experience should not suffer that much overrun, and if the design would have BEEN documented, then we would have paid. But who knows what his design actually entailed. Example 4: We originally had 4 browns and 2 grays to choose from, but instead we only 1 had brown and 1 gray to pick from after the contract was signed. In closing, someone with 25 years experience should have produced a better job, better estimate, and not needing to be watched as closely. I know what is an estimate, but when you sign a contract or agreement, everything should be documented. Ours indicated ALL LABOR and ALL MATERIAL for a SET PRICE. He even claimed that was not his paperwork. We had more design documentation than he did that he originally signed. If you do choose them, please watch and document exactly what you want, because I will guarantee they will do their own thing. I gave in holding him to the lower deck, just was not worth taking him to court. Have a lawyer on standby. Hit me up if you want to know more.

Replaced a porch for us. Removed and hauled away old porch and built a beautiful new porch. Found some further damage when porch was removed but Jerry adjusted the plans and did the extra work. Very pleased with his work and customer service. Hard working guy and eager to please. Price very reasonable. Would hire again.

He was very Quick to cone to my house and did an excellent job from start to finish

I read all the so-called good reviews and there was only one bad. Came to the conclusion, they must be related or just a little job was done. Do yourself a favor and hire another contractor! The owner sent an amateur to measure, trying to hold the tape measure on the ceiling until I told him to put it on the floor and measure. Something told me, this was not going to go well but gave it a shot. The owner then called and quoted a price including materials. Raised prices needed more material, still a good price. Job started and wanted to raise price, again, but retracted said he already quoted. The owner tried to relocate 2 little over-the-bar light fixtures, which was not over the bar and kept trying to tell me it would be OK because the boards are there, I still said no and the owner finally put the fixtures where I wanted them. Now the worst unprofessional amateur kids did the job. I had to watch them and tell them that is not good. Not much measuring, just eyeballing. Never showed up on time, never covered furniture, and never cleaned up after the job was done. Wasted almost 4 boxes of tiles due to miss cuts, not the cuts of going around obstacles, just no measuring. Put phone wire under the boards instead of over the boards, grooved the board with a saw to try and get the phone wire in so they did not have to take the board down, now either they cut the wire or stapled through, so now no landline phones work in my home. They hated when I came down to look, so I tried to hurry up and get it done, trying to say that is the only way it will work, I said no, and they redid it the way it should be done! They could not wait to get out of here, and I could not wait to get rid of them.

Jerry of JNH was hired to paint my kitchen island, cabinet doors and drawers white. He promised them in 2 weeks. The deposit was $1050. He removed the items and took them to his home with a filthy garage and let his minor kids work on them. They were awful. After 2 months of waiting, on November 21st of 2019, the Warren Municipal Court ordered him to return my deposit.....he has not. Today, January 31st of 2020, the judge issued a judgement to the County Sheriff to arrest him. We have also asked that his business license be revoked. JNH is not honest. Jerry, the owner, is a liar and a cheat. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN, especially if you are a Senior Citizen. UPDATE: Today, March 10, 2020, Jerry turned himself in to authorities, paid a bond of $250. A new date is scheduled for my case in the Warren Municipal Court for April 10 at 9:15 am. I hope Jerry comes to Court and returns my deposit and legal fees $1319.41, as the Judge ordered. If he does not show up, another warrant for his arrest will be issued. Good luck on any projects you have with JNH Construction.

They were great! Came out when they said they would ,got everything done in a timely manner and was at a price I could afford. I highly recommend this company for all your needs. Will definitely call them again!

Showed up on time and got job done above and beyond expectations. Also came back quickly for a few touch ups without delay. Excellent customer service.

Jerry the owner answer the phones right away. His son Tim did the job same week. Sadly wanted them to paint the house (Tim is awesome in picking colors & paint ideas) but they had a big job coming up so couldnâ t do it. I would definitely hire them.

They added a Pergola to the deck that they expanded and replaced what needed to be on the old deck. They could not of been better.

They got the job done. When finished, they cleaned everything up so there was no mess to deal with. I did have 1 problem that they came back to fix and I am satisfied. Thought the price was a little high but they came in a timely matter and didn't quit until job was done.

Gerry and crew did an excellent job on my new wooden deck- all of the employees were punctual, polite, and skilled. Debris clean up was also exceptional. I would definitely hire JNH again for another project.

I highly recommend JNH Construction. Jerry and his crew were professional and attention to detail is superb. The deck is beautifully done with high quality craftsmanship. We are very pleased. They also built a matching fence on the sides of our house. Jerry s customer service is top notch- he keeps you in the loop through the entire process. We will definitely call JNH for any future projects. Highly recommend!!
