I would highly recommend John and his entire Team! JP Grabenstetter Construction was referred to us by close friends after their basement project turned out exceptional, and we wanted the same for our basement. The entire process was extremely easy and budget friendly. Not only was the craftmanship top notch, everyone on John's team was extremely professional and courteous. Even the little things like making sure there was always paper down to prevent footprints on our floors and keeping a very neat and orderly workspace throughout the process, were extremely appreciated. As with any large home project, some unforeseen challenges arose--- but John was great at coming up with creative solutions without breaking the budget. This basement project could not have turned out any better!

The first time John stepped into our home I had a feeling we were good hands. His knowledge, expertise, and energy stood out. We were never pressured into signing a contract or paying any money upfront. Once we decided to go with JP Grabenstetter, a fully-detailed construction and payment plan was setup along with a start date! No details were left out and a trust was established. The entire project took 6 ½ weeks from start to finish. Which I still cannot believe it went that fast. John kept his word on everything he promised and the communication was above and beyond. His workers and trades were punctual, friendly, courteous, and professional. The workmanship was done clean and done well. Simply put, John and his crew did everything he said he was going to do from day one until the job was complete. John and his company were very reliable and easy to work with. We recently had JP Grabenstetter Construction finish our basement. After recently moving with a two year old and another one quickly on the way, we were already stressed with all the transitions and hopeful deadlines. They put us at ease throughout the entire process with detailed timelines, prompt/upfront communication, and every skilled worker that arrived at our house was professional, safe, and efficient. They didnâ t skip a beat paying attention to every detail, you can tell they take great pride in their craft. We witnessed our basement transform into a beautiful living space that has quickly become our favorite place in the house. I would recommend them over and over again.

John and his team are fantastic. He was consultative in transforming our wish list into a floor plan that optimized the space. His crew started the day after I paid my deposit, and there was activity nearly every week day thereafter until the project was completed. John remained in communication throughout. We are so pleased with the outcome, and have received many compliments about the quality of work by family and friends.

We had a couple companies come quote our basement finishing project but ultimately liked these guys the best. We felt pricing was reasonable and they were the most willing to work with us on what we wanted and ideas we had. Overall I absolutely would hire them again and would recommend them to family and friends. A couple negatives though: - they started the job earlier than anticipated but because of how their crews were scheduled this meant our job was stretched out longer than it was initially quoted for and by the end of it we really were looking forward to not having dust in our home anymore. - communication was lacking. At first this was great and quick but then as the job began stalling we wouldnâ t get updates unless we went out of our way to ask, and anytime we asked for something to be changed they just told us if they could or couldnâ t accommodate it without mentioning a change order fee. The fee wasnâ t the issue, but there were a couple times where the work was already done and then we were sent a bill. - they require you to use certain vendors for flooring and counters/cabinets. They do give a pricing estimate in the full quote but even for base model items, it was almost double what was in the quote. You donâ t get the names of the vendors ahead of signing with them, so itâ s not like we could do our research ahead of time. We ultimately got most of what we wanted but the cost ended up coming in about $7000 over what their estimates allowed for.

Very professional and courteous craftsman. They keep things as clean as can be expected given the type of work being done. Project was done on time. Visitors to my â man caveâ have raved about the finished product. I highly recommend this contractor for your basement project.

It was a very good experience

We finished our basement with a full bath, bedroom with egress, gym,, kitchenette and living room. Very professional, amazing work with the best price.
