Jose is very professional and easy to work with. He was patient and willing to work over the contract until all parties were satisfied with the work to be done. Work was finished quickly, on budget, and on-time once the work was started. Would have been 5 stars but the start of work was delayed a couple of weeks and it was sometimes difficult to reach Jose.

Good experience all around. Jose contacted me, provided referrals and pictures, and followed up without seeming to nag. The price was competitive. The team showed up on time, worked quickly, and did a great job. Everyone was courteous and performed as expected. In less time than estimated, we got a beautiful wall.

The job was done fast and on time. There were a few minor changes that needed to be considered during the process and Jose was able to make great recommendations on how to proceed and made the changes without issue. The flagstone front porch and walkway look awesome and the new expanded driveway is prefect. Thanks for the hard work.

Jose and his crew were outstanding. We we able to easily communicate at all times and they did a great job with our patio. The price was very reasonable and they addressed any concerns that we may have had. When we needed things explained to us, Jose was very willing. Another great thing with this contractor is they were able to start almost immediately which was very important to us. They were timely and professional and did a great job cleaning up, not just at the end of the job, but every day. Our only small concern is that there are still some areas where sand has gathered on the patio so they weren't as careful with the final step.

Of three estimates J Portillo was the best. J Portillo started the job immediately, kept me informed of progress, and was respectful of my townehouse neighbors. He was also very good about protecting very expensive outdoor lighting, and keeping the site clean period. The job looks great. I am very happy with the servicemagic service and the provider they connected me with. If I have any masonry, concrete or stonework to do I will be calling J Portillo. I hope some of my neighbors call him - I will certainly be recommending J Portillo. Thank you.

I found the company very herlpful and well qualified to complete the job. The company completed the work on time and the supervisor was there daily to check on ther progress of the job and to answewr any question. We are very happy with the workmnanship and the completed job.

Very good work, very reasonable rates; not cheap, not expensive, just reasonable. My only complaint was the lack of total cleanup and attention to some details. Not the best, but certainly close to it.

Excellent work. Very responsive and easy to contact. Always called back within a short period of time, when a message needed to be left, but usually picked up quickly when calling his cell. Listened to what we wanted and did a very nice job. Great crew and great clean-up at the end of the job. We will be looking to use them again in the future!

Concrete Driveways & Floors Installation
Requested to replace my front concrete steps (5 steps) and railing. Good: The project manager was friendly and helpful. The final product was nice. When I had an issue with putting down the wrong railing, they were quick to fix the problem. Bad: Took a little too long to finish the project. I am not sure if this is standard when putting concrete, but about 2 to 2 and 1/2 feet of my lawn from both sides of the steps were destroyed and I had to buy sod to replace it.

We are pleased with our decision to use J.Portillo for our masonry repair. The work was completed as scheduled. They reused the existing bricks and did a pretty good job matching the existing mortar so the repair would blend with the existing wall.

The manager for my project, Jose Prudencio,assured that the retaining wall matched other stone walls on my property, At his suggestion, he rebuilt the wall around an existing planter with no additional charge to me. Work was begun promptly and completed ahead of schedule. As a result I extended my contract and had Portillo Construction demolish and replace my concrete driveway. I highly recommend this company for all work similar to mine.

I hired J Portillo Construction to repair our front concrete steps/walkway/railing. Jose provided execellent communication throughout the entire project. He also provided three varying ways to complete the project. The project was completed on time and right on budget. I will definitely use this company again!
