Did not come when they said, twice. 2 days later than scheduled. The packing by the leader was the worst. The hired help was good about everything else. The delivery was a day later than promised also. Only 1 lamp was destroyed. The price was doubled from the estimate and it was like dealing with the Moving Mafia to negotiate.

A large, original oil painting which was thoroughly wrapped in layers of bubble wrap had the canvas completely slashed front to back. Additionally, the sofa was stained with berry juice (one of the workers was snacking on frozen berries). To add insult to injury, the company has not responded to my phone calls or emails for these damages to be addressed.

Mr. Reggie Fortson with J & R Movers was very professional and prompt. He arrived to our house, professionally wrapped all of our items, and transported them to a city 2 hours away without any unfortunate incidents. Thank you, Mr. Fortson of Elberton, GA.

They estimated the size at 1300 cu ft, price$6800. Final size 2050 cu ft, price$10,500. They were unable to finish loading the 1st day in spite of being there until 9:30 PM. It was not until 16 days later that they arrived to unload, and then it was at 3PM. They did not finish unloading until 12 midnight. There were 16 items broken or damaged. Overall it was a totally frustrating experience.

Prompt, professional and very concerned about now harming the property or the stuff being moved. Have used them for three times and will continue to use when needed and recommend to others!

Eventually, a moving service that simply moves you, without any hassle, from one location to another. They state their prices set expectations ahead of time and then follow through. They transferred my parents out of a large house, and they were courteous, respectful, and all their personal belongings were valued. They finished what was meant to be a two-day transfer in one day.

Whatever you do, stay away. Over $10,000 in damages. Underestimated charges. No response to claim. Just stay away.

Excellent moving experience! Yea. I said that! Professional, courteous, prompt, insured. Crew showed up, disassembled my bed, and moved 11 boxes plus furniture in less than 4 hour. I'm so glad they moved me in today! Could not have gone better. Thank you.

I needed to move very quickly and didn't have any idea who to call. After searching the internet I picked J&R Moving Service because their website had a lot of information without clicking a million times to find what I was looking for. They moved me in one day with two trucks. Every other company wanted to charge me double or some other ridiculous fee for getting a second truck.

This company underbids and then charges through the roof fees to finish the move! Ben and Gio are dishonest representatives of this company. The movers themselves didn t move several items where needed as well. I tried calling the company for several days and only got vm. I was told their IT department could pull our calls on the prices and told I was sent emails by Gio. Nothing received and when I actually spoke to Gio he said they could not access the calls. Horrible company all around!!!

Really the worst moving company I could choose. First of all they made the estimate based on photographs for the Covid-19 and gave me a price. On the day of the move they tell me that the price is not that and they literally charged me double the price that they had estimated at the beginning. They spent more than 14 hours collecting. They broke several pieces of the move and it's been two months and no one has answered my claim. It is very sad that they treat the customer that way.

My family and I moved from our 3 bedroom home. The movers were efficient, polite and extremely professional. The move only costed us $6500, the best rate amongst several companies. I highly recommend J&R Moving Service. Thank me later !!!!

After a while of looking for some movers, I stumbled upon J&R Moving Service. From there I hired them and it was the easiest moving experience I've had in my life. The movers are easy to talk to and can understand what you want them to do with ease. After choosing these movers, I don't think I can really choose anyone else.

J&R Moving Service was great, they came in under their maximum estimate by 2 hours, the crew was friendly and prompt and the service provided by the staff was solid. We are very pleased with J&R Moving and will be using them again. Highly Recommended!!

I chose to use J&R Moving Service after they offered the most reasonable price from the 4 companies that reached out to me. The quote they gave me was very detailed in terms of what factored into the cost. The staff we worked with throughout the process were all professional, polite, and genuinely wonderful people!

Fantastic service, easy process via facetime to show what items need moving, movers were polite, helpful, quick and took great care in moving our items... would definitely use again, worth the money.

Great overall service, from quoting, to suggestions, to a handy 'moving' checklist, and then the actual packing up, moving and unpacking service was efficient and delivered with a smile. All the team were great from start to finish. 2nd time I have used them and would recommend!

He and his team were punctual, professional and fast. They moved all our stuff without any damage to our existing or new property. Everything ran really smoothly and they were very upfront about all the charges/fees. So wonderful - we hope we don't have to move for a while - but if we do - we'll def. be using them again! We initially were given a window of 12-4pm on the day of pickup for them to arrive to get our things. The movers did not arrive until 6:30 pm at which point the first thing they did was inform us that their estimate of a $2500 pack and move was not correct and that the price for them to pack and move everything would be nearly $4000. After agreeing to their extortion, the movers angrily packed our things and told us that we should get them around 7-10 calendar days from pickup. We made it very clear that it was imperative for the things to arrive no later than day 10. We called multiple times trying to secure an exact delivery date and were told they could not provide us with one. Our items finally arrived 15 days after pickup with every single item of our bedroom set nicked and damaged, a leg dangling off of one of our living room end tables, a lampshade was shattered and our living room entertainment console broken into several pieces. Additionally, at least 2 of our boxes never arrived leaving us to replace expensive electronic items and an entire collection of nearly 100 neckties. All we got in response from J and R was the runaround. First, they claimed that our boxes had been potentially delivered to another family in South Carolina and that they would get back to us when that family unpacked. After about 2 weeks the company stopped answering our phone calls altogether. We put in a claim with the insurance that the contract stated we were entitled to for lost and damaged items and no one ever followed up with our claim. itâ s been 3 months since our move! It wasnâ t until after almost 2 months of dealing with this nonsense that we contacted HomeAdvisor for help and then the very next day someone from J and R called us back and offered us $300 for our troubles. Just wanting the nightmare to end, we agreed and sent them back the signed and notarized document and waited for our check. After a couple of weeks, we called to follow up with them about the status of the check and they stated they werenâ t going to send us the money unless we removed our negative review from HomeAdvisor. After receiving several calls from them trying to bully me into taking down my review I told them that at this point, I would not do it because honestly if even 1 person reads this and does not do business with J and R Moving Company then it will be worth it to us. This is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with for anything in my life. Stay far far away from them!

They were VERY disrespectful. Broke some of my things. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Complete scam! They under quoted the job knowing that the job required a larger truck and more materials only to try and charge me extra for a complete pack out. They hire their movers from Craigslist. The borrowed truck showed up a day late and was too small to hold my things. I cancelled their services and they refused to refund, only wanted to offer me 1/2 back and didn't move a thing. So I had to go thru my bank and stop payment.

One of the fastest, most efficient moving experiences I've had thus far! Not to mention the most affordable of all the companies I looked into. My quote from J&R Moving Service for 2 hours and 3 men and all 3 were polite, efficient, and did a wonderful job and we only had to add an extra half hour because my bed was particularly difficult to reassemble.
