This company was great to work with. Al communicated well and was available for any questions or concerns. We had two different crews for our job (inside and outside) and both paid great attention to detail. We would recommend them to any of our friends.

We have used this company several times, for interior and exterior painting. Good work!

It all started out well. The house prep was good and we had fun with paint samples. Al was responsive and painters showed up. However, things started to deteriorate. For example, painters were pulled off my job to go to others. Rarely was there more than one painter working at a time. Painters just didn't show up. The longer it dragged on, the more it seemed my patience was taken for granted. They were so close to finishing and I was asked to pay the balance. Al asked me to trust him. DO NOT DO THIS. I documented what happened every day, including the weather, for 4 months, then I gave up. In the end, I was promised a 3-year guarantee and the paperwork was never delivered. As far as the end result, it was fine for the price, but not worth the stress. So, If you do not mind waiting 6 months for your job to finish, hire JR. If you do not mind no show appointments and absent painters, hire JR. If you do not mind missed deadlines, JR is for you. If you do not mind scraped paint all over the ground or trash left behind, hire these guys. This review only scratches the surface of the frustration. I hate leaving a bad review, because it did not have to be that way.

JR was wonderful to work with, he was patient and very professional. His crew was also very professional and extremely thorough, they made sure to keep their workspace neat and tidy. The â cut inâ lines are clean and straight, I love that! My house looks beautiful Iâ m so glad we found them. I highly recommend JR Painting and will be using them again in the future.

Took 1 month to paint 1500 sq. ft. when a worker showed up a good job. Failed to replace window trim and cardboard ins. the company said needed replacing. Mentioned it several times. One weekend they were to finish the job, the roofer called to say he could do the job on the following WED. I agreed as the house would be done. It was not then the painter shows up when roofers were working. An outdoor light that was loosened to paint under is hanging by wires, Was told that somebody would be here on Tues. to re-connect it. Still hanging. I got a deal on price and foolishly paid in advance to get the deal. My bad.

BEWARE! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!! I have hired this group before and they did nice paintwork. I mentioned some other jobs I had, and Al (crew boss) told me they could do it. Was pleased with the gate repair but it is a very temporary job. Then I mentioned I had patio roof leaks and cracks in brick mortar. Al said it could be done...in September. The last of these jobs were not completed until January! Three months for a 2-week job. To his credit, Al tried several remedies to stop the roof leaks, but none of them worked. Mortar cracks were filled a little at a time over multiple weeks when they could have been filled in several days. I paid an extra 300 bucks for a brick sealer that should have taken several hours to apply, but took minutes. Cannot tell it was applied at all. The crew took downlights to finish a paint job on the patio (good job, but that took multiple trips because they did not get it done right on their FIRST TWO TRUES!), broke bulbs that they did not replace, broke a chimenea lid (not replaced), and did not even put the lights back up until I said something. For the quality of work I received + the time it took for them to complete it, I WAY OVERPAID. I trusted these guys after the first two jobs I hired them for (you can read the reviews on this site), but they took advantage of this gig. I spent so much time calling Al to find out when work would be completed. Al would tell me a date, and MAYBE someone would show up. Then I would have to call and find out what happened and what would happen next. Flat out POOR communication, overpriced work on this last job. Not pleased at all. I think Al had his crew spread too thin, but he would not communicate that upfront. All I heard was that people got pulled to work in Fredericksburg with his brother Jose. Al will take your money and make promises, but you are taking a HUGE RISK if you think he will keep them. Jose was not very personable, and his son is the one who broke the aforementioned property and did not replace it. I am still disappointed about this job. Texted Al and he reminded me that there was no contract on the roof part of the job (verbal only). He said he would call back and try to work something out. Has he called??? Nope! Spare yourself the time, the hassle of following up, the headache of coordinating return trips when they incompletely finish the job the first time, and the frustration of realizing that you overpaid for a mediocre job. I do not know what happened to this outfit, but they are not the same. DO NOT HIRE THEM.

Did a wonderful job of prepping the house to paint. Helped us pick out the colors that would look good with rock and cedar. Crew always showed up on time and cleaned up after they completed the job. They also replaced some rotten facia boards on my house and it turned out great. I would hire them again.

They did a very nice and complete job and then came back and we did a walk thru. Very Happy

Reliable, quality work, clean & thorough. I would recommend JR Painting. Maybe one can find cheaper, but getting the job done once & right the first time is better in my opinion.

Excellent work ethic. Crew always arrived on time each day. Cleaned up work area each day before leaving job site. Work was completed professionally and on schedule. We would definitely recommend JR Painting for your painting needs.

The end result turned out very well but the process to get there was frustrating . Took 5 weeks to paint inside and outside of a small 2 bedroom / 1 bath 90% brick house. There were many days no one showed up at all then one guy worked a few hours on other days. Several times the toilet was left dirty. A couple of times the House was left unlocked. The boss painted the garage door a different color then what we had agreed. He used 2 different brands of paint with the same name but were not the same color and charged us extra to re-paint so that the color matched. Pleased with how it looks but not sure I would use this company again without clear expectations and work plan.

JR was able to start within the next week, he was reasonable, he paid great attention to detail, and did some minor trim work has part of the job.

Purchased an older home and had it painted from ceilings to baseboards, bathroom cabinets and all doors. I needed the work done before I moved in and JR was extremely accommodating. He even helped me choose paint colors. His crew worked after hours to get the job done. Nice guys, professional and polite. Work well as a team! Great job! Very satisfied. Will have them follow up with power washing, caulking and painting outside of house. Definitely recommend them to all my neighbors and friends.

Painting job quality we rate as very good. They give serious attention to detail. did a lot of caulking and returned to paint over caulk. Our only problem has been with communication. It is hard to pin them down as to when they will arrive and what they plan to do on any particular day.

One of the owners came out to look at my exterior project and pointed out some areas which needed attention in addition to painting, such as caching around the hardy board that my home builder had not done. I received a very reasonable quote for the job and everything was done in a 5 Star professional manner. I have, and will continue to highly recommend JR Painting.

This man came and beat his competitor by almost half their price for the same work. The work was completed immediately (painting and repair of ceiling) and it was gorgeous. I was very appreciative of how nice he was to work with. He even followed up later to make sure I was happy with the results! I will definitely hire him again. He is my go to!!! I almost don't want to submit this because he will be so busy now that I won't be able to hire him again!!! (But he deserves it). Great crew. Friendly, quick, competent!!!

This team has done an excellent job. Their painter Daniel was a professional and helped me so much. He took his time and worked so hard. The house looks beautiful! No spray paint, just meticulous work and I am so grateful. The job is not complete and if there are any more comments, I will post them. They are a good group and I highly recommend them.

They are prompt, thorough, and helpful in making how to do it decisions. They clean up when they are finished and return quickly if there are questions about the job. I only wish we had known about JR sometime ago. It would have been great to have them do the painting when we first moved into our home. They are at the top of our â call again â list when we have additional painting to be done. Also very friendly.

Very quick response to my request for a bid and starting on project. Al came by almost every day to check on workmanship and progress. Highly recommend!

Nice folks but job dragged out and could've been done much quicker and with better results.

JR was prompt to respond to my request for a bid for exterior painting of a new carport and staining of an outdoor patio area; he called me within a few hours from the time I submitted my request on-line on a Saturday and scheduled an appointment to come to my house to submit a quote the following Tuesday. His quote was reasonable and his workmanship was exceptional; very high quality paint and stain job that exceeded our expectations and no mess was left behind. We will definitely hire him again for any of our future exterior painting needs.
