I called him after a week and said you got the job but another week passed and he hasn't shown up yet. The other thing is $1395 deposit to order parts, made me wonder. Then I said we can do paypal and he agreed. That's where we are today. He called each day to see if I decided after his estimate. Since then I haven't heard from him.

Had issues this morning getting my garage door to open....unfortunately I was in a rush to make it to my VA appointment, while at my appointment my wife contacted home advisor, on my way home Jim contacted me and offered to come look at the door. He beat me to the house and was waiting for me as I pulled into the driveway. Jim is very friendly and professional and I would definitely recommend him to family and friends! On a scale of 1-10 he is definitely a 10 when it comes to his quality of work.......very glad I hired him!!!

Jim called to scope the project promptly, made some great suggestions for necessary upgrades to our garage door opener, and quoted a price below our expectations. Jim was on site 24 hours later, worked into the dark to get everything set up and working perfectly. Super knowledgeable about the garage door opener, he had everything done within 2 quick hours. Found out through casual conversation that Jim Smith also does remodelling and much more, so our expectation is to retain him for some other projects we have in mind. Overall, couldn't be more pleased. Great guy, hard worker, customer centric. Highly Recommended!! Thanks to Home Advisor for hooking us up, will definitely use the service again.

Jim responded quickly to our email, and on a Sunday. He was able to make it out to our house that day to make a spring repair. He also took the time to check our other garage door and lubricate both doors. I would not hesitate to hire him.

I hired Jim to introduce by Homeadvisor, first his appointment in order to see the job was late. He always makes an appointment late after 5 PM.After he fixed my closet, he asked to pay by cash. I hang up my clothes after he done then the closet was collapsed and worst than before. I took the pictures send to him to show my closet was broken again. He told me that he will come on Monday to fix at 5 PM. On Monday I was waiting until 6:30 PM but I did not hear from him so I called Jim back then he said tomorrow he will come to fix it. On Tuesday he did not show up and did not call, I texted him what time would you come so he did not give a response by phone or text back. Jim was supposed to respond and come back to finish his job because his job not was not well done but he was quit, quiet, irresponsible and unprofessional. Please do not trust and hire this guy, I am very nice to him. I think he does not know what to fix on my closet properly , lack communication and irresponsible. I lost money and get nothing done.

"Mary, we spoke about the repair and came up with a plan. I did what you asked. the supports are for the shelves. I did not know you were hanging clothes on the outside of the shelf. yes, I have been working many hours and can't stop in the middle of 1 job to come back. you need clothes rods, not a shelf. dispute this review I'll call you in the am and fix your closet for you. PS: you paid in cash, I didn't demand or ask for cash."

He was upfront about how long it would take and the possibility of a more involved project once he opened up the threshold. He answered all my questions and/ir concerns. He was responsible by calling if he was delayed for any reason.

Jim does not respond to the issues had with my garage door. The bolts came out one side rail. Leaving the door positioned to fall on my car. Also the bolts came out from the door opener from the garage door panel to the connector for the garage door opener. Allowing for the for door fall. The door panel was put on backward so the bolts had nothing to hold on too. So having to hire someone else to come out to do fix what he did.

We hired Jim to stain/seal our deck. He arrived at the agreed upon time, did a very thourough job, in a timely manner, and his price was fair. It was a pleasure doing business with him. We will definately be calling him for future projects.
