J S Custom Painting

After scraping paint drops and spatter from my windows and floor and using a razor blade to remove white spray paint from glass shelf and mirror, I'd say that the OVERALL effect is good. Window sills with spots in which plaster had chipped were painted with no filler put in first. His crew (all Mexican citizens) was prompt, courteous, and worked close to 10 hours per day to get our house painted quickly. The semi-gloss white spray paint on doors gave the doors a smooth finish. However, it became like "marshmallow glue" on my a/c filter and wreaked a replaceable filter. The white paint must be thicker than with a paint brush, because 2 inside doors scraped the top jamb of the door frame, and I had to sand and repaint with a brush. I scraped paint off of airflow vents to a/c to be able to open them. Paint was too thick on hinge edge of vent. A language barrier resulted in nails that I wanted left in the walls being removed and thrown away. I have found new nails and will soon make measurements to rehang my pictures. The wall plates for lights and cords were removed and replaced. However, I had to find 5 new screws and buy 1 new door strike latchplate. Jim Shelton is great with colors and willing to spend time with you to choose the best colors in your home.

First and foremost....the owner Jim is a genuinely a great guy. If Jim tells you something you can count on it...whether it is the scope of the job or any details...you can be sure at the end it will be done correctly in the end. You will probably pay a little more but the results are worth it.
