Landscape - Minor Grading or Resloping
Scam! I usually would not write a review about a small business but they deserve all these negative reviews. They have awful reviews everywhere you look them up (FB/Yelp/Google) but on here it seems they probably create accounts and give themselves reviews. We had a scheduled appointment. They did not show up for or call. Hours later they said they were "held up". Regretfully, we scheduled again and they were late. We gave them a chance even though we were walking out the door. We were reassured that we would get information that would give us an ESTIMATE on how much it would cost including measurement and expected cost of materials and were charge $150. He tried everything to get us to put money down and sign a contract. Even tried to offer us free labor for another project, to sign that day. In the end the only thing that was sent was the exact same information from before they saw the property. Nothing to show the material or the expected amount that would be used. Such a waste of time. It is only $150 but at the end of the day, they do not deserve to be in business.

Brick and Stone Patios, Walks, and Steps - Install
I hired J.S. Tree Service for a large project which included tree trimming and removal, drainage, gutters, flower bed installation, fixing a gate, and a brick patio. The tree trimming and removal were fine and they hired a subcontractor to do the brick patio who was very good. Nevertheless, I would not recommend them for work other than tree trimming and removal.

Horrible all-around experience. Showed-up without notice did not complete the work, and have not shown up or called after promising to come to our home to address problems (for example, cement poured over new pavers is bumpy and covers some of the pavers). Did not remove the old pavers and bricks, instead, they were stacked against my fence. Our experience has been the same as the reviews on Yelp.

They did a good job of cutting down the tree. But after quoting me a price on grinding the stump he would not return, repeated calls and messages inquiring about a date they would complete this... I ended up contracting with another company to complete the job.

We hired this company because they were the most responsive and had the best customer service. Alejandro was very patient and answered all my questions. He offered different options to address the multiple jobs we required, and their prices were competitive. I was also very pleased with the crew who completed the work because they ensured I was satisfied with their completed work. I will definitely use again!

The owner was there at the end of the work to collect the rest of the money. They were supposed to give us some mulch from our tree. Two weeks later we haven't gotten the mulch yet. Other than this they were great.

I had a 13-year-old oak tree in front of my home and the roots were starting to affect the foundation of my driveway and come towards my house. I decided to have it removed. Alejandro was very professional and arrived on time for the estimate. He was also very honest by admitting that they were not the cheapest but the work would be done right. I paid a 20% deposit. About an hour later, the crew came out and removed the tree, it took about an hour. I was pleased. Alejandro explained to me earlier that someone would be out at 5pm to grind the stump. At 5 on the dot, the guy arrived to grind the stump. It took about 40 minutes and he was done. Total job was around $880 with tax, a bit high but they are quick, efficient, and get the job done right, which is what you really want at the end of the day.

I was impressed with the quality of the work performed by the crew. Cleanup was impeccable. Appreciated having Alejandro come by at the end to confirm I was happy with work, especially since workers were non-English speakers. Alex spent considerable time during the initial quote explaining the process and providing needed input about how to trim a large tree. When contract was signed he created videotape to give to his crew. I would do a disservice to future customers if I did not mention I was frustrated that texts or calls to Alex went unanswered. This is unfortunate and possibly just a consequence of the structure of the business. I would suggest that clients ask for a crew supervisor contact number when the contract is signed so that that can get response about estimated arrival times as it seems Alex only handles sales. The company has some talented people but I think they definitely need to finesse the customer service end of things or risk giving the impression that they have been no respect for their clients

I feel the salesman was a little high-pressure, but the quote was good for the quality. The guys worked HARD and cleaned up the site very well! There was a bit of a fumble on the final price but it was handled politely and quickly. I would recommend.

I was very apprehensive about hiring JS Tree service as I had seen a couple of negative reviews. But there were several factors as to why we chose to hire them, one being the price and the extra work that they were going to do around the yard. We had them take out a large tree in a very small area with the house and one side fences on two sides. They did an excellent job with out any damage.
