Major Home Repair (General Contractor)
Contractor lead us to believe he and his ?crew? (which ended up being non existent) could handle everything in a renovation. Don?t believe the hours listed. He disappeared for days at a time and then we were trying to get him out of our home at 10:00pm while he was attempting to make up work. Of course there?s no warranty, we recently had to bring in an actual plumber to fix his work and found out none of it was even up to code. Tens of thousands of dollars for work I had to finish on my own (because he disappeared again) and repairs I?m still paying for.

Simple patio cover turned into a 6 month nightmare! Left project with a leaking roof. Project abandoned, unfinished. Already had been paid more money than what work was done. Had to hire another contractor just to get house closed back up weathertight. Did not properly cover roof opening in rainy season. Poor communication, just did not show up. No phone call or notice. Incompetent!

"Unfortunately, we can not always predict what we will find in a house, especially when it comes to something built in the 1780s. We try to account for everything we can from the start, as well as forewarn customers of what the industry calls project creep. Project creep means that the project could grow in scope and cost due to unforeseen work that is needed or upgrades and change orders that can be a natural part of the larger-scale project. I am disappointed in this review as we had notified the customer of every issue as they arose and gave them multiple solutions with a range of pricing and ultimately left the decisions within their control."

Major Renovation Multiple Room Service
Jeffery and Pat took on a huge project at my home, and I couldn't be happier with the results. My husband and I renovated our entire first floor, which included the removal of two load bearing walls. Jeffery handled the structural changes like a true pro, ensured that every proposed alteration was approved by an engineer, and had great suggestions along the way. Jeffery rerouted tons of electric for us, completely reworked and relocated our HVAC to allow for the amount of openness we were going for, and did so in only a few working days. J. Scott Conrad Homes, LLC was one of the few organizations that was willing to do for us just what we wanted...to handle the structural components and allow us to do the finishing work. Thank you, thank you, thank you Jeffery and Pat.

Addition to Existing Structure Building Service
jeff tore down an existing structure on the back of our house and built a two story addition along with a new roof over our deck. I was very pleased with their work and would highly recommend them.

"Unfortunately we can not please all customers. To make this very clear the "legality involved", is the lawsuit we had to file against this client for non payment on a custom time and materials project of which the project scope kept increasing. so please take the review with a grain of salt. As a result of this project we will not do time and material contracts, we will stop all work upon any major plan change (like adding another 1,000 sq ft to the basement and a three car garage) until the new updated plans have been completed and approved by the town, and we will not allow the customer to set unrealistic goals for the project and push us to jump ahead of crucial steps in both the planning and the construction process. We would rather pass on a future project than ruin our reputation. With all that being said we have no problem discussing this customers project with any potential customer and show you pictures of the scale of the work that we had done."

I can’t stop complimenting the quality and craftsmanship put forth by J.Scott Conrad Homes, LLC. Hired for a project which included removal of three walls one of which was load bearing, electrical rewiring, drywall and HVAC work. Price was excellent. They cleaned daily. A pleasure to have in our home. Respected our space. Interacted well with my 3yo daughter and puppy. Definitely will hire again- actually planning next project now! I strongly recommend this company for your project.
