Sewer Main Install, Replace or Repair
We needed our drainage pipes under the house replaced. Both crews with James and Ryan came out to do the job. They worked continuously and in high humidity into the late evening to get the job done so we could have our services restored that same day. They were very conscientious about finishing the job and not leave us hanging until the next day.

Water Heater Installation and Replacement
Jay and his team of installers are great to work with. Jay returns your calls quickly whether it is an emergency or not. All jobs are important no matter how large or small. While waiting for my non-emergency hot water heater to be installed on Wednesday, as fate would have it, my garbage disposal started leaking. Within hours, Kyle and Rich were at my home and had the job done within 30 minutes. Returning the next day for the hot water heater, Kyle called when they were slightly delayed. Kyle and Rich are an asset to the company. Their work was completed in a timely manner, they are neat, knowledgeable ,professional and very courteous.

J. Stephens Plumbing is the GOLD STANDARD for this type of service. I called late yesterday afternoon and my call was answered immediately by Jay (the owner). Kyle came to my house at 11:00 a.m. (although I was given a window of 11-1) this morning and was finished by 2:30 p.m. He installed two faucets, two shutoff valves, new water lines to the faucets, and a new drain system in the kitchen. He was courteous, efficient, and very personable. The price for all the work was more than reasonable. I will use them the next time I have a plumbing issue.

We were very disappointed with the service received from these plumbers. Needed copper outflow pipes replaced in the bathroom and small leak in cold water line repaired. The first plumber who visited gave us a quote for $2800 and we had to have the owner, Jay, come out a second time to view the job and get a more reasonable quote. After the work was done, I requested an itemized receipt several times and got no response. Two months after these plumbers worked on our bathroom, we hired contractors to repair some damaged subfloor only to find the pipes that were supposedly fixed and replaced were still leaking. I have sent them pictures and have been calling these plumbers repeatedly about this issue and they will not return my calls. We went with J Stephen's because of their good ratings on Home Advisor, but these guys did not deliver on their 5 star reputation. Unfortunately we ended up with leaky pipes and no attempt to fix the situation.

"I am so sorry that this customer had an issue with us. Anybody who has been following our reviews knows that we have an impeccable reputation and I would not risk a bad review for something as simple as refunding a customer their money. However, you have to give us an opportunity to go back out and correct the problem or at a minimum, let us see the problem so that we can verify the information that was being presented to us. In this very bizarre case, the customer never even gave us an opportunity to see the issue with anything other than pictures that were sent. I'm sorry but when it come to my profession, which I take immense pride in, there is absolutely no reason that we shouldn't be allowed to go back out on site to see what this damage supposedly was and what work we did that supposedly caused it. In short, 2 months time transpired when all of a sudden out of the blue I get some strange guy calling claiming to be a licensed plumber, claiming that we had defective work, and claiming that it caused damage. I use the word claiming, because at no point, were we actually allowed to go back out to verify any of the stated comments to us. I'm not asking for much here. I'm simply asking that if we do work for you, and you have a problem with any of the work that we do? Please call me and give me an opportunity to go back out and look at and correct the situation. Don't have some strange person call me claiming to be a licensed plumber (refused to give me his license number) and say that we did something wrong. I cannot imagine any company offering to refund a customer under this kind of circumstance which is very strange and definitely not the norm."

We needed a lot of work done to our home from top to bottom. Having an experienced plumber who does excellent work was a god sent. Jay came quickly and got started right away. He did a wonderful job at a reasonable price. We are very happy with his work and would recommend him to everyone!
