Painting by JV

Jose was a pleasure to work with. His pricing was very reasonable and his work was excellent. There were never any problems with cleanliness or the quality of the work he performed for us. I should add that Jose's is a family business and he, his brother, and his father are all skilled painters and delightful people. Finally, he is absolutely reliable and I would recommend him to anyone.

Jose and his team do excellent work at fair prices and take great pride in the finished project. I am a real estate agent and have used their services to get many homes market-ready over the past 15-20 years, as well as my own personal residence.

I have been using JV's for my painting needs for 15 years and have always been satisfied with the work performed and the professionalism of the company.  The prices charged are fair, the work is done when promised, and they do a good job cleaning up.  I would recommend JV's to anyone. <br />

Went every smoothly in only 6 hours they had my living room looking like a new room. <br />

Jose Valejo showed up on time for the estimate, provided excellent recommendations on what he thought should be done.  The work was done by Louis and was perfect.  They fixed a room that had water damage on the ceiling.  It required that they putty the ceiling, sand, use kilz and paint the entire room.  It looked perfect after they finished.  Thanks Jose. <br />

I was very disappointed with Jose and his crew.  They were not at all careful about using dropcloths, they broke a desk when they moved it and didn't mention it to me, they did not seal off the den when they were sanding the drywall so drywall dust spread through the entire house, and they tracked bits of wallpaper throughout.  They also forgot to paint the closet in one of the bedrooms, and they left a table saw and ladder in my home when they finished.  I had to call Jose twice to come get their equipment and was so annoyed by that point that I told them I'll paint the closet myself!  I just wanted them out.  The job required much more time than he estimated so I did pay more than originally quoted.  The paint job itself was fine and the drywall and carpentry work was good.  <br />

They were respectful of our home, property and pets. They were prompt in their arrival and completed the project on time. <br />

I had a great experience with this company. Things went very well and I am happy with the job. They were in and out in under 8hrs and I think everything looks great. Jose was professional and easy to work with; very nice man. I was impressed that he was the only paint company that came out for quotes that noticed and recommended we needed caulking between the ceiling and cabinet trim. I also liked that he asked if I wanted the paint color from BM or he could color match with Duron since he has had best experiences with that company. In my experiences I have had painting companies just take my sample swatch only to find out later they color matched rather than purchased that exact paint. Perhaps this should and is a standard question, but I appreciated it being asked. It was no problem to him to pick up my BM paint. My only two complaints would be that it took 2 weeks for them to come out and do the job. Which I guess is great for them; business must be going well but waiting that long for me was very hard:) Jose was also 30-45 minutes late, which made me late for work but he was professional and gave me a call to let me know. Can't fault him too much for that. I would absolutely use them again. <br />

Jose was professional, arrived on time and kept to the schedule.   He and his team did a great job which included moving items where necesary to complete the job.   The price was fair and the finished job looks great. <br />

They arrived on time and immediately went to work.  They were scheduled for 2 days, but working essentially nonstop, they managed to complete the job in 1 day.  The quality of the job was exceptional and they were meticulous in their care for the finished product.  I couldn't ask for a better result. <br />

Luis painted from 9am to approx 7pm non stop except for a lunch break. He <br /> prepped the drywall and door trims then primed and applied 2 coats of <br /> paint to all the surfaces <br /> of the job. Luis performed with a dedication any home owner would <br /> appreciate. Great job! <br /> Jose, the owner, also came back 7 months later to inspect a drywall issue and took care of it at no charge. <br /> <br /> <br />

I've used Jose  of JV's Painting previously and was satisfied ,  so called Jose for this smaller job,  Jose gave me an estimate and  I called him a few months later to do the painting work,  they arrived in morning and did the wall prep,  completed the  work in one day,  Jose went to get the paint and supplies while the painters did the prep work. <br /> I was very pleased with the entire work and results,  I've use this group previously and was satisfied so did not get other estimates. <br /> I intend to use them for some further painting projects after weather warms up <br />

For the most part, they did a good job. But in parts (near the edges), you can tell they got lazy and didn't tape things off correctly. They said they would do 2 coats of paint, but I'm not sure if they did or not. Some spots are so light and I can see the white underneath. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />| <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />|It's not perfect, but I would still say they did a good job. Just a little more attention to detail will raise them to the next level.

Jose was very responsive and professional. He and the crew arrived on time and completed the work as expected. The drywall looks great and they matched the existing paint perfectly. We will call them again if needed. We are pleased with the work. <br />

We hired JV's Painting and Drywall to paint the interior living areas in the home we just purchased, and let me say that they were above and beyond the right choice. Jose Vela, the owner, personally came to the home, and gave me a written estimate on the spot. We called him a few days later to hire him, and we do not regret the decision at all. Jose and his crew showed up at 8:00am, and went right to work. They worked the entire day, with just a short lunch break, and finished 95% of the job before leaving at 6:45pm. At the end of the day Jose went through the house with me, pointing out the work that was performed and what they would finish the next day. Jose was extremely flexible with us. When originally quoted, I forgot to mention that my wife wanted two colors in the living/dining area (one on top and one on the bottom). We had also intended to install chair rail, but had not gotten around to it. He got the chair rail that morning and had it installed in about an hour. That's what I call service. Bottom line: Jose is a competent contractor with a great work ethic and efficient crew. We will be hiring JV's Painting and Drywall again in the Spring, this time to do our basement and kitchen, including demo, new drywall and paint. <br />

Jose was professional, honest, and helpful throughout the process. We felt we could trust his knowledge and experience to guide the work.   He communicated when his employees would arrive and finish each day. When we had questions, he  promptly responded to calls for clarification and provided  us with good advice. I appreciated his patience as we tried to decide on the paint colors that best fit the light in different rooms. His employess were courteous, friendly, and hard working.  Jose checked on the progress of their work almost every day. After, the work was completed, the house looked brand new.  We continue to enjoy the serene feel of the space on a daily basis. <br />

Another great job from Jose and his crew! Always very professional and reasonably priced. I would definitely hire him again. <br />

I hired JV's to repair/replace three areas of damaged drywall in the ceiling.  One of the three areas was very well done; it was seamless with the existing ceiling.  The other two areas were not quite even and, although better than they were, one can still tell that there was repair work done. <br /> <br />I was most disappointed with the excessive paint splatter I found all over two nearby bookcases and in three different spots on the carpet. I had offered to cover or move the book cases, but the worker told me he would cover them.  I came back to see half-unfolded garbage bags covering only the top corner of each book case.  Overall, they did a decent enough job, but they did not live up to all the excellent reviews on Angie's List. <br />

Jose and his team did several projects for me in the interior of my home. All neat, on time, courteous, dilligent. <br /> Next house he will be back! <br />
