Drywall - Install
We hired Josh (one man business + wife as helper) to help us finish our basement: hang/tape/mud/sand/knockdown drywall, install electrical fixtures and bath/bar plumb (already stubbed). There were issues with nearly every aspect of the job. My shower tile was not hung in the pattern that I explicitly requested ("executive decision" but true reason was that he is not adequately equipped), outlets not tested until AFTER drywall hung (had to rip out drywall and left just patched - commented that since I am tiling over it anyway that "I saved his a**"). He even had to borrow tools from us! Did not adequately clean up ("Truck too full" - this was after he and wife made multiple trips back to Hays during project). Drywall has defects everywhere you look: uncoverable outlet cutouts, visible drywall tape in EVERY corner, gouges, uneven knockdown, globs. Just sloppy and an excuse for everything. We regret hiring. Cannot recommend, especially for drywall.

This guy either did not want this job or just didnâ t give a F***. Over half of the pieces of trim are on with the unfinished side out. So there are barcode stickers and marks all over our trim. For the quality of work he did I could have done it myself and probably looked better. Would have saved us $2000. ð ¤
