Wood Fence - Install
The project entailed replacing 25-30 fence pickets, replace 110; of top cap and add 2x6 rot board. The fence was then supposed to be pressured washed and a clear coat sealer applied. Jack did not measure the cut line correctly. As a result, 225 pickets were damaged. With the exception of the fence posts, the entire fence had to be replaced. In his haste to complete the project, 2 2x6 rot boards were not installed. I purchased the 2 rot boards at Lowes and installed them myself. There is still one section that has a 2x4 instead of a 2x6 rot board. Jacks helper pressure washed the fence, but Jack refused to spray the fence with a clear color sealer. Jack said he was losing money on the project and could not spray the fence. After a closer inspection of the work, the finished project was very sloppy and was not completed according to the quote. I definitely will not recommend this company.

"Thank you for the review, Paul, every statement is inaccurate except for the part where we did damage your fence and we did replace ever picket on the section even the ones that were not damaged, we did not lose any money on your fence, we just did not seal it because you were very unhappy with us and I wanted you to find someone more suited to your needs and your budget. It is unfortunate that you say we did not install two rot boards because you and I went over the fence extensively to make sure there were no concerns. My only wish out of this outcome is that Home Advisor would give an option to rate customers, just as customers are able to"

Jack is a really honest individual. He did a fantastic job repairing my backyard fence. He could quite easily have recommended replacing the entire fence, but instead recommended replacing just the 4 x 4 treated posts. A really honest business man. Thank you

Responded the my call immediately, reviewed my fence situation and offered multi reccomandation based on what I wanted to accomplish, Jack provided me a estimate of the work that I wanted, I accepted it and Start date was agreed on. The workmanship of his employees's was exceptional and the job was completed in one day. I would reccomandate Jack Wood if you would like price and quality.

Prompt response. Did job same day. Gave me simple solution that costs less and does not give appearance of being repaired. Also, Jack called to followup on the job. Will also come back to check the job. I was impressed with Jack when I talked to him on the phone. Actually I knew I was probably hire him from the phone call even without knowing any costs or plans. Class performance and results. Highly recommend him.

Pleasant hard working man, always appeared when he said he would, excellent work, we are so pleased. Our neighbor so impressed he will probably use him for a project. Final question I punched too soon. Value for the money definitely a 5. If there were 6 stars, Jack would get a 6 in every category.

I hired Jack to replace two fence gates including hardware. He did an excellent job! He cut the gates from the bottom so it opens and closes fluidly. He even reinforced every single picket with two nails at no cost (that is likely 100+ pickets). Jack and his team were highly professional and performed the work with care as if they were doing it for their own home. I would definitely hire Jack again.
