I hired Ross, Chris and JP of Jack of All Trades in Fort Plain to do a number of repairs to my house, including replacing a porch, installing a tiled shower, some painting, installing some jacks, and removing a troublesome tree that nobody else would touch. They got everything done quickly and expertly. Price was reasonable. Professional outfit, nice people, very competent. Would use them again.

All 3 owners of Jack of all trades Fort Plain NY are responsible for ruining our home our bank account and our quality of life by installing a new metal roof for $22,000 so badly that after just 2 months we had to pay another roofing company another $24,000 to remove it and install a completely new roof. They misled us about everything, their experience, the quality of materials they sold us, the guarantees for their labor, and the materials. They do not stand by their contracts and their word means nothing. They take no responsibility for anything. All of what they put us through has left us broke and in debt. More importantly, it has ruined our health with all the stress and fear they are putting us through. We filed all documents of evidence proving what we are claiming including photos (which are worth a thousand words) with the New York Attorney General's Office and the N.Y. Div. of Consumer Protection in Albany. If you are considering hiring them please call these offices and do your homework before you end up in a nightmare like ours.

They tried screwing me up and tried to charge me for all kinds of things. They did a terrible job and I ended up having to do it myself. He complained to me that he was underpaid for the job on top of it. They brought no equipment, no understanding how to do the work and left a lot of cement debris for me to clean up.

Window Cleaning
Window cleaning was great, had them replace silicone seal in tub not a professional job. Very poor job.

They came in. Did the 3 jobs quickly and cleaned up pretty well the only problem I had was the first time they were late for their appt. but they were on time today and finished in a little over a hour. Professional clean courteous and I would definitely hire again !!

Faucets, Fixtures and Pipes - Repair or Replace
Lowell and Ross arrived as promised within 2 hours. After viewing the leaking shutoff valve they determined it was a 1 inch size. Unfortunately ( or fortunately as it turned out) the local hardware store did not carry1 inch shutoff valves. Lowell determined that he could repair the leaky valve. The valve was very difficult to remove from the house plumbing as it was very badly corroded. Amazingly Lowell was able to remove the valve but now taking it apart was difficult. Again, amazingly he was able to take the valve apart and rebuild it with new parts, reinstalled it and no leaks appeared. I will definitely call them again. They advertise a variety of handyman services. Priced reasonably, and insured. Great job!
