First, I need to bifurcate the actual work performed, and the office side of the work. Orest was excellent, work was performed on time and quality was outstanding. The office interaction has been the worst experience I have encountered in a decade of using Angie's List/Angi. The experience began with a negotiation of the hourly rate, one which I was later informed in no way corresponds to the final pricing. I was provided an estimate, one which in no way reflected the proposed resolution of the cost of work. I was told that the normal process was owner approval of final cost in the field, which never occurred. Since Jack Home Maintenance (Jack) is acting as a middleman, multiple requests for final pricing were deferred to Jack which was not responded to until the final invoice was received. Save yourself a lot of trouble. Hire a firm which utilizes its own labor. Have a written proposal executed by both parties prior to work commencing. Expect this one to go to court.

Easy process to receive a bid and have confidence that work will be inspected and overseen by an experienced employee. This company eliminates the worry and time spent researching for competent workers.

I used Jack's which is owned by Zach B. to arrange for someone to paint two rooms in my house. Within one day, 3 painters came to my house, prepped each room and by 5:30 they were finished. During the time they were at my house, the painters were courteous, efficient and they did a fabulous job. Zach was on hand a couple of times to make sure all was well. I was extremely pleased and would be happy to recommend Jack of Portland. They are a fabulous, all in one property maintenance for those of us who can't do it or those that have no time. Use them! You'll love them!

Jack Services came to my rescue! I needed a continuous pathway around my property and stones were placed, and the best part was a stone patio was created at the highest point of my yard to create a gather space. The crew, especially Edgar, took a personal interest in the job and carefully hand picked each stone. I am very pleased with their efforts!!

By far the easiest contractor experience I’ve had. Had a garage insulated, drywalled and painted, plus a few Sheetrock patches done in the house. Very reasonable cost, quality work and I didn’t have to do the legwork of finding contractors and getting bids. Highly recommend
