Mr Atwoods appraisal was way off base. He compaired my house with forclosers and hud houses after i had put over $20000 in upgrades and repairs. He said nothing in that area had sold in the lasted time frame and even usied my house in the housed sold in the area to comform the price the house was worth. I thought as a pro is could have reserched more and come up with a closer true value of my place. I feel that I just burnt $350.00 dollars for nothing. Will not use or recommend him again to anybody.

I asked Mr. Atwood to appraise a fixer-upper property that I am looking to purchase. He was unbelievably kind, agreed to schedule me in at the last minute, and worked around all my deadlines. His appraisal was very thorough and all of his calculations were justified. If all goes well with this purchase, I will be asking Mr. Atwood to return to give an appraisal after I finish improvements with the home. Thank you so much!

I would strongly recommend James B. Atwood Appraisals to anyone needing an Appraiser. His firm is prompt, thorough, and got me the appraisal the day he stated I would have it. They were diligent in their assessment, and most importantly, explained the entire process to me, as I really had no idea as to how the appraisal process worked. I am greatful to them for getting me the appraisal as quickly as they did, since I needed it to get my house on the market. I truly believe if you use this firm, you will be extrememly satisfied with their performance and the high level of service you will receive from them.
