Do not use this guy!!! He was hired for a project that insurance paid for. He did an extremely horrible job! Its costing me more money to fix up all the screw ups he did.

I highly recommend Nathan James Builders. Nathan and his assistant Sten have done an amazing job completing our whole house renovation. They are knowledgeable, patient, accommodating, hardworking and very skilled.

Nathan was very professional and listened to what I wanted for my bathroom remodel. He finished in a timely manner, and he always kept a clean work site. The one negative was that I had water leaking from the newly installed toilet and sink pipes within a week or two due to an error in installation from one of his crew (according to him). I had water ruin the drywall in the basement bathroom below the newly renovated one. I was obviously not happy about this, but Nathan quickly responded and was more than willing to have someone come and fix the drywall and repaint the downstairs bathroom wall that was damaged with no cost to me. I would have given him 5 stars if this had not happened.

So impressed with Nathan and his crew. Hard workers who pay attention to detail. Nathan handled a couple of unforeseen problems and was more than willing to make necessary repairs as needed. He kept a neat work site and was an accommodating contractor. We will hire him again.

James Builders built a new garage, shingled my roof, and installed new siding. Definitely the most professional contractor I have worked with in Maine. Always prompt and never hesitated to contacted me about issues or changes. Also, all work was spelled out in a contract and a payment schedule was clear and laid out ahead of time, which is much appreciated.

Nathan James and the crew from James Builders are everything you would expect in a contractor. They were professional, courteous, friendly and responsive to all queries before, during and upon completion of the job. The vinyl siding I was having installed was a bit unusual and they were very thorough and detailed in their work. Nathan's price was very competitive and spot on. My son is a contractor in another state and had told me what to expect. I am thrilled with the completed job and would hire James Builders again.

I have dealt with other contractors and I was happy that they took the time to clean up the worksite everyday.

I found that the manager works closely with the homeowner to make sure that they understand the project and that they follow up with info, pictures and informed us of any unforseen issues and his costs were accurate, he was good at problem solving, he is receptive to ideas and not defensive about new ideas,
