J&B Renovations, Inc.

I hired Barry owner of J&B Renovations to renovate a upstairs bathroom, kitchen, and downstairs bathroom. I would not recommend this company at all. The customer service was horrible, he was extremely unprofessional. We had to call him several times to even find out when he is coming out and what he would be doing for the day. I will say the work was good but not great. For what we spent we expected a lot more. My downstairs bathroom is okay for the work. I didn't really complain because he did the job, but it was okay. The main thing was the owner himself Barry he is not a really good communicator. You have to hold his hand like a six year old child. My wife and I found that to be very annoying. The other issue was he told us what he though would look best. That's okay if we are going to damage our house, but if I want a pattern on my wall then just do it. He commented like he owned our house. In conclusion if you would like to still hire him then make sure it's a small project. He promised to be done and he would always go over the time limit. The example I use here is the sink he ordered for us took 6 weeks to get here, he claims it wasn't his fault. The other thing is the people he hires to subcontract with are unprofessional too. The plumber took a week off he was supposed to be here, then he shows up at 7 am on a Saturday morning with no apologies. In the end we will never use him for any future projects. I highly don't recommend anyone using him.
