I wanted to thank Hector and his team for working on my backyard. The best part of working with him was going to the nursery where we can choose the plants for the project. He took his time to explain the pros and cons of each plant as well. Given that this was an all-new process, Hector also gave us his own advice on the ideas we had. It was a very lengthy process to begin the landscaping process because we live in the HOA community. Hector patiently worked with us to fill in all the necessary information requested by our HOA on the applications. Additionally, once the work was completed, Hector gave great instructions on how to care for the landscaping. If we had any issues, Hector would come out to address them promptly.

They did what they said they were going to do and they did it when they said they were going to do it.

Hector was very unprofessional and was very dismissive of my concerns. He would come and go at his convenience. At least twice he shut our water off while he knew we were there, with no warning. The cement work has some issues, it is too high, it should have been recessed and was not. No grading or drainage was done. They left garbage and cigarette buts everywhere. Se plant-based were not covered well, but I was told that when the dirt gets wet and settles, that can happen. I asked him to come back and address my concerns. He did, but he argued with me and actually said I was being argumentative. I think he does not like to be questioned. He again dismissed my concerns about the cement and explained the grass would fill in and be higher - yeah, like in 30 years! After he fixed the issues, he left without walking me through what he did. super unprofessional! Do not hire this company!

J&H did the installation of the backyard landscape for us. It turned out great, we are pleased with the result. The job went a little slower than I wouldâ ve liked, but they kept showing up and working away, and it worked out in the end. We had J&H do grading, irrigation, concrete, a retaining wall, trees and sod. I like the quality of the materials they have used. The cons: concrete took too long apparently due to the limited availability of the concrete and the concrete crew. Pros: Hector presented a straightforward quote (all details in writing), which included a payment schedule consisting of progress payments for the project, we kept seeing results as we made incremental payments, and the crew was getting paid as they completed the work as promised.
