Joe arrived on time, actually a little early. He was very professional. He did his work well and efficiently. Very happy. other contractors contacted by Home Advisor for this job never returned calls.

Joe was very prompt, knew what he was doing and is very honest. Explained what was going on with my Pellet Stove, cleaned my flue pipe and ordered me a new brick insert. His fee was great when I though it would be much more. He even gave me an estimste ahead of time which I found helpful. It was well worth hiring Joe and his company over buying a whole new product which would have cost me thousands. Very kind and I would hire again when and if I need service!! I highy recommend J & J!!!!

he arrived late, but was friendly and thorough. we never used a pellet stove before. he explained how it works, what the settings mean, and recommended how we might like to set it based on our preferences. he also explained what regular cleaning and maintenance we should do and how often.

Honest and very reasonable. Had 5 quotes and he was the lowest and did not try to over sell me as some of the others.

Joe was on the job even before I arrived 15 minutes early. Professional, knowledgeable and personable. Cleaned the work area after inspection was completed. Provided a report with photos and videos the same day. Highly recommend!

This company isn't "all about the money". They gave me a reasonable assessment of my problem and told me what to do until I could replace the outdated unit. I got a quote the same day while he was here cleaning the unit. Very professional and down to Earth. I would definitely recommend them, especially if you have an older unit that no one else wants to mess with.

The technician, whom I believe was one of the owners as well as a firefighter, arrived on time and was very very thorough with the gas fireplace inspection/cleaning. The inspection revealed a faulty part which he repaired at a very reasonable price. The entire experience was that of exceptional service. I would highly recommend this company for any fireplace/pellet stove install or repair. I have already hired them to perform the same service at another property later this month. Please be patient when you call. You will probably have to leave a message, but they will respond within a day. Probably due to the firefighter duties and other projects. George C 2/9/17

They completed one job for me last winter just fine. Now, however they do not answer the phone nor return my phone calls. They may be out of business. However, there voice mail gives no indication of that.

We just purchase our home a few months ago and this is the first time we have had a pallet stove. J & J Fireplace Repair not only did a great job but he was patient. He explained step by step the maintenance process, how to use & the safety features which gave us a piece of mind. I contacted this company last year to repair my fireplace. The technician came out and look at my problem and said my gas fireplace will need to be replace. I asked him for a quote and he said he would send it to me. I paid $50 for him to come out in which he said it will go towards the replacement. I never got the quote and I called a number of times with no response. I chalked it up as a loss and recently got my system replaced through Waldorf Hearth and Patio. I did get an email from J&J about a month ago but it wasn't a quote, it was for advertising specials, not good business at all. Thank you.

I received a call from Joe less than 12 hours after submitting info on HomeAdvisor.com. I didn't hire him immediately only because the gas company we use was coming today to check for a possible gas leak, but I did put Joe on notice saying that I would get back to him if I needed him to service the fireplace. After speaking with the fellow from the gas company, I followed his advice (which was to get a fireplace professional in to take a look). Within two hours of the gas technician leaving, Joe was at my door, right on time and ready to work. After looking at the fireplace he concluded that there was no leak that everything was in pretty good shape and that no further work was required. Our fireplace got a clean bill of health and I would happily recommend Joe to anyone who has any questions or problems with a gas fireplace. Right now Joe is running a summer special and instead of the usual $179 charge, it is currently $139, with a second fireplace check for $79. I would not hesitate to call Joe again! Do yourself a favor and give him a try.
