J and J Foundation Repair

First impression was two general Man who are wonderful, timely and communicated great. Once we paid the deposit, we didn?t hear from them for a while to schedule the start date, they didn?t show up for. We had a hurricane around that time so we expected a delay, just not complete radio silence. They would answer the phone numbers we had used to contact them before so I, being the investigator I was, found one of the guys on Facebook. He would answer my messages there but no date he gave me ever happened. Each time it was next week, next week. I demanded specific dates and times and when that expired, I was on there again asking what happened. They did end up giving us our deposit but honestly that is because I?m very annoying and said my next step was going to his house to get the money. I know this sounds crazy but being strung along for months. Watching whatever you are trying to get fixed get worse sucks even more.

This company is a rip off - they were hired on 9/29 to replace my Florida Room which was lost to Hurricane Irma. I got nothing but promises of work completion which was never done - then they wanted more $$$ which I foolishly paid with their promise the project would be complete by the weekend - that was almost a month ago - one excuse after another - now they want more money because they bid the project wrong - I was in the construction industry for 45 years and the bid was reasonable. The have 90% of the contract amount and are now refusing to complete the job until I agree to more money. My nephew is a general contractor and has looked at the work (I moved to the Gulf Coast two weeks ago - so I put him in charge) Over half of the work is not correct and has to be removed - I now have to hire an attorney to sue this company - DO NOT USE THEM FOR ANYTHING - HOW THEY GOT PAST HOME ADVISORS I WILL NEVER KNOW. They did not even know what vinyl windows were for the Florida Room, instead of glass. Incompetent for any repair work!!! Will not return phone calls for days and then make up yet another excuse why this job is not complete. It should have taken 4 days at the most. AGAIN DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE LIARS AND DO NOT HONOR THEIR CONTRACT.

They came out, quoted, left a receipt for half paid. Next day they called and said it would be 200 more. Then owner called and said he would honor first price, set up time to come. No one ever showed up. They still have check, but have not cashed it. Had to stop cancel it at bank, not without a fee. Would never recommend this company.

Good people

I hired J and J to install roof drains. We set a date. Contractor did not show up on the set date. Three days late. J and J shows up to tell me he is not going to honor his contract. No work was ever performed. The only good thing was they did return my up front deposit. J and J does not meet the HomeAdvisor quality I am use to receiving from their recommended contractors.

Would not recommend.

Very friendly and exceptional job on repairing my retaining wall. Highly recommend this company.
