I believe if the helper would've showed up, the work could have turned out as well as he expressed over and over again.

He did the job welll and timely

My BF and I are in the process of moving to Roswell, and I hired Jason, sight unseen, to paint the master suite before we moved the furniture in. With a friend, I drove 10 hours into town for this express purpose. Jason showed up about 10:30 on first day, then left 4 hours later. During this time, he spent at least an hour on the phone or goofing around. He promised he would bring his helper (his son) the next day, and they would arrive early and finish the job. They didn't show up until almost 10 the next day. His son seemed to do most of the work while Jason chatted with me and my friend about different things. This included bragging about how much $$ he made last year and how he was 'the best in town'. AND spending a lot of time trying to talk me into painting things I didn't want painted, like the ceiling fan. He seemed to have a very hard time focusing on the job at hand. Then, he and his son went outside for a long time, after which he sent his son in to tell me they had to leave. This was about 3 1/2 hours after they arrived. After promising me a finished job that day. Jason had also promised to hang curtain valances for me in another room. So I went to Walmart and bought the valances and curtain rod. This never got done. He and his helper showed up a little earlier the next day, after I called him twice. Jason left about 3:30 for a meeting, along with his helper. The helper returned later and finished the job about 7:00. I had planned to do other things that day, but had to cancel my plans and stay at my house all day. Parts of the job were very well done, such as the painting of the popcorn ceilings, which required 3 coats of paint. Also the bedroom walls were well done. But they had to hurry thru the rest of the project. The grab bars and towel bars in the bath were apparently not removed before painting, and there was quite a bit of paint on them. There was also paint spatter on the bedroom windows which was not removed. However, I let this go, cuz I was so frustrated and just wanted the job done. I do feel his son/helper, Aaron, did an excellent job on his end. I would like to hire Aaron for another painting project I need done, as well as some odd jobs. However, I didn't ask him, as I was afraid it would create friction between him and his dad. Not sure now how I will get my other painting jobs done, as Jason was the only painter who responded to my original help request. Thank you.
