J & R Paving Concrete

They kept their word about time of beginning and finish. They were very reasonable.

I hired Raynel Lopez of J&R Paving to extend my patio and color and stamp the concrete. Ray and his crew of two showed up on time and appeared to be doing a good job. They finished the project in one day and I was told not to walk on the patio for 4 days. When the four days were up I inspected the work and found a bad place in the middle of the patio. I called Raynel and he said he would stop by and check it out. After contacting him four times he finally showed up and told me there was nothing he could do. After discussing with him the possibility of sanding down the bad spot and putting more sealer on it he said he would do that over the weekend. A week went by and I sent him an email and told him I would do it myself. I paid $3,600 for a job that should have been done with a lot fewer flaws. The concrete is very rough up against my house and there was a lot of concrete left around the bottom of the outside of the patio. I expect Raynel Lopez Of J&R Paving and his crew are probably very good with asphalt and paving but I am not happy with the stamped concrete job. It would be the same as hiring a framer to do a finish carpentry job.

Same crew has been with him for years. Each worker knows thei job. Three day completion on time as promised.

Mr Lopez was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He and his crew were on time everyday and cleaned up at the end of the day. His estimates for cost and duration of work were accurate and exact. He supervised his workers and constantly checked for quality control. He was personable, easygoing and a pleasure to work with. We give him our highest personal recommendation.

Driveway not finished and been calling and no will call me back

They did my job on the day they said, for the price they quoted and stayed until it was done the right way. Giving them less than 5 stars would not be right!

Initial job was done on time and at quoted price. Punch list took an extra week to complete ( weather was a factor for some of those days) Overall, they exceeded expectations for this project.

We hired this company to expand our patio space in our backyard. It took 2 days. On that second day, we paid them for their work. After paying them, there was little to no customer service. Twice the owner said he'd come out the following day and did not. He was a no show. He sent people out another day because I sent picture of the excess cement powder left off the side of the new patio. The dogs were tracking it all over our house. So they finally came to haul this away 4 days after the project was complete. They also put another coat of sealant. On our request. We're not sure why the excess cement wasn't hauled off the last day of work. We also asked them to come grind the concrete down on an edge that is visible when you walk out our back door. It's messy looking in that spot. No one came to do this. Also, a part of our wooden gate was removed so the cement could be poured. When it was replaced, it was very loose. We asked them to come fix it but they didn't. One of our dogs got loose because of this issue. So for 2 days my husband has been fixing this part of the gate. I had communicated and sent pictures to the owner, but the last time he was a no show we gave up. So if you go with them, don't pay them until you check the final work. We are very disappointed in their lack of customer service.

Did a good job

I had my plans for adding additional concrete to our existing driveway. Rey turned my plans into a new addition. His frew were top notch. The work was hard abd they made it look easy. I would never have been able to do this myself as i had planned. The work was completed in a timely manner. They cleaned everything up before leaving. If i need future concrete work or asked by a friend to recommend someone, J & R is it!

They showed up on time and completed the project exceeding expectations. I was very pleased with the time spent on the surface finish!

Work was done well for a good cost. Rey and his crew work hard and get the job done in a timely manner. Would definitely get him to work on another similar project.

Very friendly and reliable. Did what they said when they said. kept me informed what was going on when they were doing the job and made sure I was happy with the work before they left.

first time doing driveway repair, JR and his team did a great job. they where on time, made sure everything was clean and debris removed, I will be using them again within the next year.

Ray was great help. He went out of his way to help us get the project done. Came in and finished the work as committed.

The procedure was straight forward and the timing was excellent

On time. Met schedule. Quality of work was poor, I now have to hire another company to come in and fix the work.

Agreed to date, showed up on time, removed old concrete, laid re-bar, poured the best mud, shaped and finished in one day. Looks Great. Neighbors marveling at the look and how fast it was done. Rey and crew were most professional. No middle man to deal with. Hire them for your project. All good, except they are not good on cleanup. Had to tell worker to remove loose cement by framing. Also they damaged three sprinklers when installing the frames, and now I have to repair them. They did not clean all the mud on the street. It was caked. I scrubbed and pressure washed it off.

Order some material for my driveway. Delivered it on time, Actually early which was nice. Will do business with them again.

Rey with J&R completed the work as requested despite some rain delays. We're pleased with the driveway and very disappointed with his failure to remove excess concrete. Small pieces surrounded driveway and concrete pad. It's taken weeks to remove it because only small amounts can be place in our city garbage. The concrete forms were also left behind. I contacted him 3 times after the work and he was totally unresponsive.
