Asphalt Shingle Roofing Repair
John was super nice, went to work quickly after inspection and giving me a price, but parts were $200 and he charge $650 for labor! He replaced top cap shingles on small section and 4 vent pipes! Was here about 5 hours on small repair that he shouldn't have done because he then said the entire roof needs replacing right now and is the worst he's seen in a while! So asked if I used him to replace the roof of he'd give me the difference off and only offered $500 of the $850 wasted since now we have to replace the entire roof! Since when is labor more then parts and why would he repair it if it's that bad and has to be ripped off! I shouldn't have agreed to do the work, but he didn't give me honest opinion of it until I called him later that night because realtor wanted to ask status of life of existing roof! Make sure if you hire him to ask prices clearly, and in writing, also if repair is necessary or if in vain!

John was terrific! He was very professional, very polite and took much patience with me to explain everything. He was on time and finished the project with the proposed time. When we discovered there was an additional problem with the project, he took the time to figure out what it was and correct it. He was very respectful of budgets. He is at the top of my list and I would VERY DEFINITELY recommend him.

I am very disappointed in the work by J&S Contracting. My roof was leaking, they failed to respond to come out again. It is still leaking.

"Mr. D[Consumer name withheld at their request]'s roof leak had been repaired. It did take a while to get back to him, but that was due to some medical issues that had to be addressed. Mr. D[Consumer name withheld at their request] was kept in the loop the entire time, and his continued problem was addressed as soon as I was able to return to work. Mr. D[Consumer name withheld at their request] even informed me during that time, the leak was just an occasional drip during a hard rain, and he also stated that he knew I would honor my word to address the continued problem. All of these concerns were addressed in text message and a record of those conversations is in file with his repair notes."
