Dry prompt and honest service

I requested a quote for some irrigation contractors. The first call we received was from JW Irrigation and Repair LLC (Jesse Metz). We received an estimate of 2800.00. I asked him would a permit be required to install a sprinkler system at our house and Jesse said that the only time you would need a permit for an irrigation system is if you had a backflow protector system installed. I said are we not required to have a backflow system and he said no. I called the City of Tallahassee and they told me that a backflow preventer has been required since 1990 to be installed in anyone yard that has an irrigation system. Jesse Metz is being dishonest when he tells you that you do not need a backflow, when in fact, it is required by the city for you to have one. At the end of the walk-through, Jesse asked how can I earn your business without you getting any other bids?. I said if you adjust your bid by 200.00, we have a deal. We shook hands and we both agreed for Jesse to do our job for 200.00 less than the estimate he originally gave us. The total we were quoted was 2600.00. There was a mention of adding a timer to the wall on the back of our home but I did not relate that to the irrigation controller. According to Jesse they are one in the same. I asked if the controller could be installed in our garage and he said yes. He never mentioned that there would be any additional costs since the irrigation controller had not been installed. Jesse also mentioned that we could operate our sprinkler system with an app that he would assist us in getting installed on our phones and connected to the internet. Come to find out the controller we had was not compatible with our Fiber Optic internet, that was a selling point in us purchasing the Hunter X2 controller. There was no planning, organization or supervision on Jesse crew. Jesse brings his men to your home and he leaves them unsupervised. Jesse failed to adjust our water pressure before his crew adjusted the sprinkler heads so water was spraying all over our neighbor house and in the street. Jesse also charged us 200.00 more than the agreed upon estimate and Jesse explanation was that it cost more to install the controller in our garage versus on the wall on the back of our home. Not once did Jesse mention to me that this would be an additional cost. They left mud all over our new driveway and all over our newly painted wall in the garage. Destroyed all the grass between mine and my neighbor house because they used a shovel versus a trencher. I called Jesse and his crew to come back and reset our sprinkler heads, paint the wall in our garage and pressure wash our driveway. He said he would come back on Monday. Jesse and crew came back on Monday. Jesse never pressures washed our driveway nor did he paint the wall in our garage. I asked for assistance with the app, he said the only thing I can do is refund you 60.00 for the Wand. He goes to his truck to get the 60.00 to give us and he comes back and says, I only have 60.00, so that is all that he gave us. Our irrigation system came with a two-year warranty, that my husband and I will never be able to use, because I will never have JW Irrigation Repair LLC back to my home to work on anything. JW Irrigation Repair LLC (Jesse Metzs) will tell you that you do not need a backflow preventer if you have an irrigation system installed, but according to the City of Tallahassee, a backflow preventer has been required since 1990 on all homes with an irrigation system. An additional cost of 1425.00 to have a backflow installed, extra labor, and another irrigation person to come back to our home to complete the work that JW irrigation Repair LLC (Jesse Metzs) did not do. The 1425.00 + 2740.00(install sprinkler) = 4165.00. We only thought we would have to pay 2600.00 to have a sprinkler installed.

J&W Irrigation exceeded our expectations! We called 4 companies and he responded immediately. They came out that afternoon to take a look at our property and we had an extremely reasonable quote with hours. They came just over a week later and had the whole systems installed within 1.5 days! Outstanding customer service, honesty, integrity and promptness! Highly recommend!

Dealing with Jesse was the worst experience I have ever had and I am not exaggerating. I needed a treadmill moved between apartments and booked him three weeks in advance. He called one and a half weeks ahead of it to see if my *garbage* could be pick up and dumped. I was confused and said I hired him to move a treadmill not to dump. I asked him if he can do it cause if he did not offer that service I would find another company to assist me. He said he would be there at 10 am to move my treadmill the day I needed it moved. I called him at 10:15 the day of to ask if he was on his way and he said he was running behind by 30-40 minutes. Then he calls me at 11:15 to say his guy called in and he could not move it that day. He offered to move it the next day after church between 2/2:30. I even confirmed with him that morning to make sure he was still coming and he said he would be there at 2:30. Well, he did not show. I tried calling him multiple times and after a couple of rings it would go to voice-mail which means he was dodging my calls and sending them straight to voice-mail. He was also not responding to my text messages asking if he was still coming and when to expect him. I also said if he was not going to show up I needed to know ASAP. No response. So I scrambled to book a uhaul and an appliance dolly to attempt to move it myself. My treadmill weighs over 200 lbs and I even made it easier for Jesse to move by taking it apart and he would have only needed to move the actual tread part. Luckily 2 of my downstairs neighbors were kind enough to help me get it upstairs cause otherwise I would not have been able to do it. I had told Jesse when he rescheduled that he would need to show up cause otherwise I would be in deep trouble since I needed to get out of that apartment by the next day. Worst service ever. Super unreliable. I would not recommend them for anyone if you actually want him to show up and respond to your calls and texts. Please take your business elsewhere. I would not want you to be screwed over like I was and having to scramble around to make something work.

I was pleased with the service and professionalism

Worst communication ever. J cleared the yard and never returned to complete the project. He never sent a receipt for services rendered. He has stopped responding to my attempts at communication. Do not hire this company. They are not professional and he hides behind a Christian facade. I will never hire them again. The project started with J showing up on a wrong day to start the land clearing. He asked me to forgive him for getting the date wrong. I allowed him to continue the project. He worked and said he had to leave to do another project. He left some equipment at my house. He came back the next day but left without talking to me. I called him in the phone. He said he would be back in two weeks to finish the last portion of the project. I paid via phone and he was supposed to send me a receipt. I never got the receipt. He never came back to finish my job. Worst customer service ever.

Excellent and prompt service! They contacted me immediately after I submitted a request and came out the same day. The cost was very reasonable and I appreciated how far they drove to come to my residence, without complaint or additional charge. I just needed to have a large pile of household junk removed (broken, old, useless). They arrived, loaded up, and left within 10 minutes. I am so happy I reached out to them. I did not expect same day service, especially for the distance. Friendly, prompt and reasonable --- that's what we all hope for!

They got the job done despite showing up with no tools. It was a crazy job and an uphill battle. Against all odds they persevered and took it all the way to the finish line. Iâ m very pleased with their work.

Jesse and his group are nice and professional. Even though he was not the least expensive. I believed he would get the job done to me liking. It was a clean out, a messy job, with mouse everywhere. I was surprised just what a good job they did. Jesse will not finish until your satisfied. I highly recommend J&W Irrigation. They'll get the job done. I like that, it's not easy to find today.

Friendly and quick.

I hired them to remove the old construction debris under my home in order to prepare the crawl space to receive a new vapor barrier. They worked 3 hours and said **all done**. I had my plumber out the next day to fix a leak under the house. When I went under the home to point out the leak, I noticed 3 piles of debris pushed up against the foundation walls. I called the owner and complained. He sent his crew out in two days to pick up and reinspect the crawl space. They spent another hour under the home and said **we got it all this time**. On Saturday, I decided to crawl under the home and inspect. I had to spend 4 hours pulling out debris. I loaded up 3 wheelbarrows full of old construction debris. I called the owner to complain. He had his son call me back. We agreed to have 1/2 of the 800.00 charges refunded to my credit card. Hire this company at your own discretion.

They were able to fix a complex problem in our sprinkler system, adjusted some sprinkler heads to be more effective and replaced a few sprinkler heads as well. Very satisfied with work! Our sprinkler system is working after being off for more than a year.

Jess the owner did not fulfill what he promised to do; such as the receipt and warranty that he would email me, and the concrete donut sprinkle head protector.

Professional work.

Wasted a lot of time going back and forth to truck. Seemed unprepared for the task. Didn t have equipment needed and had to borrow an extension cord. Left for 20 minutes to go get a wrench. Did not deduct that time from my bill. I was told they charged $75 an hour. Bill reflected $135 per hour. Also charged $65 for holiday service. I was not informed of the holiday charge ( I had indicated this was NOT an emergency and service could be accomplished in a week). When I objected, admitted they did not inform me of holiday charge and it was removed. Next invoice reflected this change but showed an increase in time to over 2 hours. Even including the wasted time, serviceman had not been here for 2 hours. My objection resulted in time being changed to original 1.7 hours. My drain was cleared but I will never go through this again.
