Custom Cabinets - Build
Be careful!! The cabinets we ordered are high quality and look nice. just know Delivery was close to 45 days but they will sell you on the 30 day arrival time (due to one cabinet was on "backorder"..backorder for 45 day??? hmm). Look over your design well and make sure they commit to order what you design, with minimal, uncalled for modification. I needed a 15 by 12in cabinet and they sent a 30 by 12in cabinet to be cut by the installer they use (installer cost is 2k alone). they say it's up to the installer to cut and fit but that doesn't make sense for a simple box cabinet that's not custom and comes in 3in intervals. I can understand if it sits against a 45 degrees corner wall. Also messed up another oven/microwave cabinet that's clearly not like that on the design but its the person's fault that is overpaying for cabinets hoping things would come right. All in all the cabinets look nice and are real wood, but I wouldn't recommend. They made a process more complicated then it needed to be while charging thousands of dollars just to ship generic cabinets to my place and call them custom cabinets...

This was a good company and they were more economical than most of the others. I had some problems reaching the sales rep but I was able to contact the installer easily and so had the communication I needed. The carpets look nice and the job was well done.

Please note that their carpet price is only for the carpet; pad and installation doubled the price.

Laminate Countertops - Install
Price did not include taking away the old countertops. I think for the price paid, this was unfortunate. Price paid for laminate was on the high end.

"(consumer name withheld per their request) thank you for your business and your feedback. Our installer is the last person in contact with our customers. Upon completion of their job, they present the customer with an 'Installation Completion Form' for the customer to rate their experience and sign. I am in possession of your completed form and you marked everything as 'yes' indicating you were satisfied with your job. There is an area to address "I have the following issues with my installation and need the following": you hand wrote 'none' Had we known there was any question or misunderstanding regarding the haul off of your old top, we would have taken care of it immediately. As far as value goes, we stand behind our pricing. For $1700, you received 24 lineal feet of premium laminate (upgraded from standard), tear out of your old tops, a cut out for the kitchen sink and a professional installation. We did not charge you a trip charge to St. Johns County, which is usually a standard. Again, we appreciate your business. Had we known there was any issue with your job prior to seeing your review on HomeAdvisor, we would have taken care of it immediately and privately."

I can't say enough about Jax Bargain Cabinets & Flooring... what a GREAT experience! I am a home renovator and work between Jacksonville, Gainesville, Daytona and Orlando. A recent bad experience with my previous cabinet company set me on a hunt to find a new company -- to my buying pleasure, I came across Jax Bargain! Upon scheduling my measure, the owner, Rachel, visited a home I have in Jacksonville. She was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. Within a day, I received my estimate and moved forward with the job. The Jacksonville job turned out perfect and beautiful. All work was done ahead of schedule and done right the first time. Cabinets and counter tops. I decided to roll the dice and ask if they would travel to Gainesville -- to my further excitement, they said YES! Once again, Rachel traveled to Gainesville and measured the home for kitchen cabinets, granite tops, bathroom vanities, drawer knobs, fixtures and vinyl plank flooring throughout. Once again, the entire job was coordinated and completed with 100% satisfaction -- all done right the first time! Their entire team was first class. What a breath of fresh air in today's construction world. Highly recommended. A++
