The quality of workmanship is top notch. The cement crew is a little sloppy as far as keeping your yard clean and not trampling bushes, but there quality of work is excellent. I got a new driveway and patio and there are no puddles when it rains. You can watch it all drain correctly away from the house and down the driveway.

Jay-Bilt is first class operation. We had an exceptional project manager that worked through issues and kept us well informed. Jay Bilt was open to input and very detailed about the craftsmanship. Our goal was to match the style and detail of our 1926 home and the result was spot on! You definitely get what you pay for. After speaking to two satisfied Jay-Bilt customers in my neighborhood, my wife and I contracted with Jay-Bilt to remove our old garage and driveway and replace them. After meeting with several builders in the area, we decided to hire Jay BIlt to do a 650 sq ft addition, which included a custom dining room and master suite for our house. We made our decision based on a couple things: 1) The pricing was highly competitive in the Plymouth market. 2) It was apparent early-on that customer service was a priority for this company (e.g.,turnaround time on architecture plans, turnaround time with emails, 24/7 availability, etc). 3) The willingness to work with a non-conventional construction loan (This was one of the most important). If you're like my wife and I, and don't have a bag of cash lying around, you'll need a contractor who is willing to provide information to, and work closely with the banks to secure funding. We happened to work with an FHA construction loan (203K). JayBilt was happy to take on this task, which is highly unconventional, and meet the demands and requirements from the bank and FHA consultant. The process was easy as pie and Jim was available any time of day for questions. I can't stress how important this was to the process. We would never be where we were if jay Bilt wasn't willing to work with us and the banks collaboratively. Trust me, some of the builders who quoted us, only worked with cash payments. In terms of architecture, we took a 1950s split level home, made it over 2000 sq ft, modernized it, without looking out pf place in the neighborhood (Downtown Plymouth). Several of our neighbors have made comments that the house looks like it's been here since they moved in 30 years ago. Needless to say, everyone is happy with the architecture, which is now a hot topic in the downtown area. Regarding cleanliness, the contractors kept the job-site and our house clean every single day. Massive remodeling like we did can be stressful on a couple, but this seemed easy. It wasn't burdensome at all and I would go through it again, should we ever have to. Regarding quality, the work speaks for itself... Jay-Bilt doesn't cut corners. They did a great job using high quality materials, while keeping everything consistent with the rest of the house. I have 4 little sisters who are in high school and whenever they come over they say our house looks "So Tumblr". I guess that's the equivalent of Home and Garden nowadays.... Anyway, JayBilt just did a great job start to finish. They had a great process for change orders (which will inevitably happen) and they were transparent through the whole process. We couldn't be happier with our decision. Finally, I have a team of project managers at work, so the most important thing to me was that this remodel was on time, on budget and within the scope that was provided to Jim. I hired Jay-Bilt to build my new garage, and I'm very satisfied with the quality of their work. We plan to stay in our home for the long-term, so I wanted a garage that fit my needs, matched the architecture of our house, and was done right without any regrets. I solicited proposals from five builders in the metro Detroit area. I decided to go with Jay-Bilt because Jim Hall gave me the most confidence that he would turn my vision for a new garage into a reality. Jim listened to my ideas, answered all my questions, and gave a very detailed proposal describing the various aspects of the job (concrete, framing, siding, windows & doors, etc). Jim also made arrangements for me to look at another garage he constructed so I could evaluate the workmanship. Jim stayed in communication with me throughout the permitting and construction phases, letting me know when the various crews would be doing their work. All of the crews took pride in their work and did an excellent job. Overall, my new garage turned out great and I would highly recommend Jay-Bilt to others.

My girlfriend and I bought a tri-level in downtown Plymouth and Jay-Bilt Construction added a complete new level for a beautiful master suite including the master bedroom, master bathroom, walk-in closet, and laundry room. The customer service was incredible; dealing with Jim Hall was a pleasure. He was very attentive every time I called and got back with me almost immediately; which was important because for most of the addition/renovation, I was working in Kansas City on an automobile launch. Not only did they do the addition, but remodeled much of the rest of the house including the living room, kitchen, and bathrooms. We were extremely impressed with the craftsmanship and so is everyone that comes over judging from the compliments that we receive. Even after all of the work on the house was done, we hired Jay-Bilt to remodel our detached garage. We were on a strict time frame for this project because we were hosting an outdoor engagement party for about 100 people for good friends of ours. They did a fantastic job installing the new garage door, siding and gutters giving it a great face lift and making it look brand new. More importantly, they finished the job ahead of schedule. I can't say enough good things about my experiences working with Jim and Jay-Bilt.

Jay-Bilt is a pleasure to work with. We have used them as a general contractor for three different projects. The largest was a two-story addition to the back of our existing house which included a new master bedroom, family room and half-bath. All of the people that have been involved in these projects have been professional, on time and courteous. All three projects were completed within the quoted time frame and were kept within budget. The attention to quality is outstanding. I plan to use them again for future renovation projects.

From the very beginning of my custom garage project when I asked him for a quote, all the way to the end when he gave me the keys, Jim and his team couldn’t have been easier to work with. He communicated every detail thoroughly and timely, making the process seamless and painless. The house is wonderful and I am very pleased with the work.I wish I would of been told earlierso that I could of taken the light back. It has been over two weeksand I am not sure if I can return it now. Iwill check this week end.I have told everyone who asked who did my house because I am so pleased.
