Lee from Jefferson Appliance Inc. is the most conscientious repair person I have ever worked with. Not only did he fix what I hired him to do, he alerted me to another, un-related serious problem which he also took care of.

My elderly parents needed someone to check their refrigerator when it stopped working. We called Jefferson, a.k.a. Capital Appliance They visited and said we needed a part They promised to show up the next working day after taking the full amount by credit card and promising they would be back and the food would still be good if we did not open the refrigerator. Needless to say, this made the next couple of days very difficult for my 94 and 91-year-old parents who used a small ice chest for a few things to hold them. The day came and went and they did not show up. The office called and said they would definitely be there by the end of the day; they then called and said they would be there as the last appointment. They gave us the phone number of the technician and said they were leaving. We waited and they did not show up. The technician did not answer the phone. They knew the refrigerator was for my elderly parents who have now lost all of their food. I looked online for reviews and learned that this has happened to others and they have probably lost their money as well. We had called them because they advertised five star, same day, speedy service. We are very upset about losing all of their food when we could have hired another company who actually provided same-day service.

I scheduled my appt on Tuesday for 4 p.m. on Wednesday. When repairman didn't show or contact me by 4:30 pm, I called company and was told he was just behind schedule, but he'd be there asap. Still no contact by 5:15 p.m. I called back; company was closed for day. Called first thing next a.m. Was told that she didn't know what happened; repairman worked for them for 20 yrs and never a problem. She rescheduled him for 3 p.m. on Thursday. Repairman called at 2:30 pm to see if he could come Friday am. Told him I had a dr. appt. He said, "OK, then I'll be over at 8:30 pm." When he arrived, he fixed the problem in less than 10 minutes. I found out he had a personal commitment, which ended at 8 pm., which was why my appt was pushed to 8:30 pm. This first experience with Jefferson Appliance was most disappointing. I have to be able to feel I can trust the repair company to come when scheduled. It's unfortunate, because the repairman was very competent. For that reason, I will likely give them another chance should I need repair services in the future.

Leo repaired an older dishwasher, which is now running again. He also checked the refrigerator, washer and dryer, and gave us some useful advice on maintenance. Will certainly call him next time!

Leo was completely thorough and professional. He was the second repairman we had. The first took one month, 3 visits and the oven, which is expensive still didn't work. Leo, asked important questions prior to coming over, did his homework prior to arrival and was able to resolve the issue immediately once the part came in next day! Highly recommend.
