It took Jim Farrar 10 days to remove one pine tree. He worked 4 hours the first Monday, Three hours on Tuesday, did not come on Wednesday, worked four hours on Thursday, three hours on Friday, worked Sat because I asked when he would be done and refused to give him a partial payment. Finally finished on Wednesday 10/06. He would show up late morning, work two hours, take a three hour lunch, come back and work 1-2 hours in afternoons. Does not communicate, left with no indication when he would return. I would never hire again.

"Unfortunately, I had severe back pain while doing this job, and I did not wish to share this information with this client. Also, the tree was very close to the client's house, so I had to tie off everything that was on the house side, which takes a great deal of time, which was unknown to the client. I was trying to do the job as safely as possible, which is always my first priority with every job."

Jim did a great job all around. He showed up on time, did a great job of trimming the trees and then did a great job of cleaning up after. He was thoughtful and helpful with suggestions too. Good to do bussiness with.

Jim Farrar did a very good job for me. It was quite a large job, so he worked for several weeks, and did multiple tree removals and weed cleanup. He was a very safe worker, and came when he said he would.

I have taken the time to write a very good detailed review for Farrar Gardening although it may be slightly lengthy. I attempted to transfer the review by the cut and paste method to your survey but this app is non responsive and did not accommodate my effort. Please address this reported issue as I’m sure other customer that have experience this problem (like myself) aren’t going to take more time to rewrite a review at all.

Get a start AND a finish date. Be very clear of what you want done. I did not do this and regret it.

"I'm not understanding these low ratings. The client asked me to do additional work, which I did. He never stated he was unhappy with the job or that he expected the work to be done by a certain date/time. He paid me promptly. As always, communication is so important!"

Jim Farrar contacted us immediately & came out to give an estimate that same day. The estimate was extremely reasonable. He did a good job (it took several days because he was removing a large tree that had some dead branches & all of it had to be hauled away.) The clean-up really impressed me. As it turned out, he had actually estimated too low & had undercharged us for all the work he had to do & all the time involved, but he didn't ask for more than the original estimate that he had originally quoted. I would definitely want to hire him again for any landscape/tree removal project in the future.

They showed up on time, the work was exceptional and over and above what we expected. Jim was prompt and on time, worked hard and did an awesome job cleaning up after the job was complete. We'd have him back the next time we have another job. Saving his card for next time. Can't say enough about his work ethic, Thanks to him for a job well done!

Jim was prompt and came prepared with his own tools to do the job.He educated me on the weeding process which helped me tremendousl because i had no clue...Jim followed up with a courtesy weed spray afer the work was done and i already have a follow up appt. for more work....

He just mowed down the grass in my front yard. He did not rake the trash or the edges. Waste of money. Will have to pay another person to finish his job and paid him way too much.

"When I was finished with the job, I asked the customer's mother to come out and look at the finished job. She said it looked fine. Now I'm receiving this rating? I called the customer back to discuss the job, but she has not returned my call."

THEY DID NOT SEEM TOO PROFESSIONAL AND TOOK LONGER THEN I EXPECTED. THEY HAD TO RENT SOME EQUIPMENT TO COMPLETE JOB.

"I asked before starting this job if there was a timeline. She said there was no rush. I had a tool break down and I had to get it repaired so I could finish the job and I called and let this customer know this. She did not say she was in a hurry. I showed up and finished the job when I said I would. When she paid me cash, she said nothing negative to me. I thanked her and I left."

I hired him over the phone after he stated he had thirty years of experience. I wanted my tree trimmed and thinned out. He butchered my Willow tree bare. He is not a professional tree guy and I would not recommend him to anyone.

Hired Jim Farrar for tree trimming. He is knowledgeable and conscientious. His price was reasonable and fair. He did a nice job with thinning out the growth and cleaning up the mess from the cut branches.
