Jim Nelson Window Cleaning

Jim...A nicer person there is not, but the power washing was left incomplete, Jim said he would get back to me and finish the job... He never did. Jim came back completed the work and was completely professional about it.

Mr. Nelson is a very pleasant person, however, the work he did was not good. He returned my phone call regarding the work and said he would come out and redo the work. He never did come out. I would not recommend his work. UPDATED RATING: Came right out - thoughtful and concerned. He showed me what the problem was and it was not something that he did. He even did the windows over again.

Jim was prompt in coming out and gave quote and got the work done the same day. Very nice man and also helper was nice.

Just want everyone to know that Jim Nelson is a stand up guy who honored his estimate, and got the job done without lowering the quality of the work and went beyond his compensation for excellent service . This was for a gutter cleaning for a 20 unit apartment building.

Jim was friendly and knowledgeable. It was a simple enough project. He 1 helper did a nice job.

Jim was on time and he and his helper washed the windows and screens and skylight outdoors and also did a beautiful job indoors. He was able to repair a screen, as well. It's a 2 story house with a separate 2 story garage. All went well and I will definitely hire him again.

I thought the price was a bit on the high side ($350) for a 2700 square foot home.

When I spoke to Jim, he was coming out to give me an estimate. Over the phone he stated $300 & up, depending on the work. When he arrived, he told my daughter I agreed to the price and he was going to start. That was the first unsettling surprise. The second was, I told him I did not want anybody on my roof. He asked what type I had, I said tile, he said absolutely no one will be on the roof. I figured while he was there, just to let him do the job. Well, to my surprise, his worker went right on the roof and walked around, to clean the gutters. Jim tried to justify the reason. The other companies I had out said they had ladders long enough, and would not be on the roof. Jim was nice, but I wouldn't trust what he says again.

Jim did great work. He was very prompt and was able to accommodate my schedule. I will definitely hire him again.

Was a good worker

I have four large pane stained glass windows that hadn't been washed in three years. This was the primary need for a window cleaner, as I injured my knees and couldn't do it myself. When Jim first called me and learned that I have a small ranch house, he quoted me $150. I told him that the stained glass windows required more work than the regular glass window and that I thought I would expect to pay $250. When he arrived, he upped his quote to $300 for two sliding doors, six regular glass windows, and the four picture window size stained glass windows. He also said that he was washing the front door and exterior windows only at my request. They were done in an hour and a half and asked to be paid. From where I was in the living room, I could see that the left panel of colored glass leaves which bordered it still weren't clean. I pointed it out and Jim quickly re-washed it by scrubbing by hand. BTW, he had used a squeegee the first time and that doesn't work for stained glass windows. Jim touched up that window and I was satisfied. So I paid him and they left. My mistake was in not looking at the rest of the stained glass windows before paying him. Nearly an hour later I looked at two of the bedroom stained glass windows and was horrified to find they looked the same as they did before they were "cleaned". I called Jim to tell him that they weren't clean and he tried to explain that they were 'old glass" that couldn't be any cleaner. I said that I would clean them myself and let him know. When I opened the "clean" front door I found that it too was filthy. I know that he was outside my door doing something, but I don't know what he did because it was not clean. I stopped long enough to clean three door panels and had no difficulty making them clean. Then I went to the dirty stained glass window, sprayed and brushed it and was shocked to see how much dirt drained down onto the window sill. If I can get these windows clean, I don't understand why a professional couldn't accomplish it. If Jim doesn't know how to properly clean stained glass windows he should have said so and told me to get someone else. It's a shame because Jim was good at scheduling and communication, and he's friendly. I thought I found someone who I could use on a regular basis, but I still need someone to clean my stained glass windows. Considering everything, the charge far exceeded the value for the job done.

We worked with Jim for our commercial property in the valley prior to hiring him for our house windows. He was consistently on time and proved pretty irreplaceable.

I hired Jim to clean my gutters which had not been cleaned in years and we recently took down a huge tree, so the entire roof was covered in leaves, etc. Jim brought all the equipment he needed and quickly finished the job. Afterwards there was absolutely no mess whatsoever. I have hired Jim for another job as he was so amazing. I 100% recommend him.
