Jim Pike Plastering

The work was done well. Having said that, I would not recommend Mr. Pike or use him ever again. One day he confided that he undercharged for one of his jobs and the next day, as his crew was on their way (literally...they were driving to my house and hadn't even seen the ceiling yet) he phoned me to tell me that he was not going to honor his quote and increased the cost of our job by $100, without any reason. Obviously, he was trying to make up for his prior loss by adding charges to his current clients. I had already scheduled the work and when I said I wanted him to explain it to my husband who was standing next to me, he quickly hung up and didn't answer his phone or respond to my emails all day. Bottom line: the crew did a great job, but I will not hire somebody that does not stand by his word. We paid the increased price, but I do not trust Mr. Pike; it is unethical to raise the price the day a job is to be done before the crew even arrives and without any reason, hanging up the phone on a customer to avoid explanations and not responding to messages from a job that is in progress.

there were so many problems that took along time to correct. I wouldn't recommend this company at all. My experience with Homeadvisor has been great until this company . It was one headache after another. keep looking

Jim and his crew were very quick to respond. The crew did everything we asked and then some and was very courteous and personable. We are extremely happy with the work that was done and the honesty with which repairs were made. After having several contractors tell us to drywall over our plaster, Jim's crew came in and made it look like new.

2 1/2 hours late. No detailed written estimate. Did not leave walls ready for paint. Gave conflicting estimates for painting.

My kitchen ceiling was damaged due to an ice problem from the winter. My bathroom ceiling was also a little cracked and peeling at the seams. Kevin and Karen came in and assessed all the problems and did the work expertly and promptly. They returned to paint and took care of a ripple problem that had occurred. I am very pleased with the quality of work. I especially liked Kevin's "we aim to please" attitude.

Called me in minutes of requesting a quote. Had a wall taken down. Hired 2 different contractors that left me with a mess and the drywall looked terrible. Kevin from Jym Pike Plastering came in and fixed it like it was nothing. Looks awesome and definitely will be using them again for up and coming projects.

They came to fix some holes in our ceiling. They were prompt, reasonably priced and friendly. There was one part that began sagging , they returned to fix it promptly and we've had no issues since. Everyone makes mistakes, but they owned it and fixed it quickly which is all you can ask for.

Great customer service. Flexibility to my timelines - showed up on time. Work is quality and professional. I had two areas refurbished, both were horsehair plaster. Looks like new now. Left area clean and ready to paint. I would definitely recommend this guy and his crew.

The worker who actually performed the work, Kevin, was very professional and took the time to listen to the concerns I had with the project. He was very nice and cleaned up after each day he was there. THe plastering repair was right on the money.

My wall was water damaged from ice dams. They did a great job tearing out and replacing the drywall and insulation and re-plastering the wall and ceiling.

I needed to repair a ceiling -hang sheet rock, plaster, and paint, and Jim Pike was the right guy to do it. Within 12 hours of my request, he had someone out to start the work, and had the most professional, courteous and detail-oriented crew for plastering and painting. The price was lower than most estimates I had received and you could pay double what he asked and not have it done as well. For a great job and a fair price, you can't beat Jim's crew. I would not hesitate to refer him to anyone I knew who needed work.

The ending balance did not match the estimate, given only by phone. The workers were consistently late. The workers did not move furniture as agreed upon and were messy. When they completed the job the mess had been cleaned up fairly well and the work was done to my liking.

I was on the internet to file the application I get out because of some bad connection few minute my phone ring that was Jim on the line calling me I was surprise because I did not finish my request his crew was very professional I will call Jim back for more job it look like Jim have someone for any job thank you Home Advisor

Very quick and professional And priced right. Nice workmanship

Did not want to come out to see the project. Asked for pictures. His guys made a mess in the house, used by tenants vacuum to clean up the mess. Was a no show two separate days so called off the job after only half a day of work. Paid more for that half day then should have for poor work quality/ dependability.

Did not provide the service I expected. Ceiling were not white as I was told. I now need to hire someone to paint. Left a mess on the walls, plastered over a painted wall I now need to repaint. A two day job turned into a three day job. They offered to come and paint the ceilings to fix the issue. I decided not to continue with them. I think they would do better in a smaller job.

Jim was excellent to deal with. He responede quickly to my inquiry and the job was quoted and scheduled accurately. His guys showed up on time and completed the job and clean up as promised and as quoted. Very quick turn around from initial call to completed work !!! Definitely recommend :)

Jim called me back within 10 minutes of submitting my request on HA. Jim's 3 man team was out immediately and it was done efficiently and affordably. The crew was very professional and personable. I am currently in the process of having Jim quote me for another upcoming project. I will recommend Jim's company time and time again.

All 3 guys were really great, respectful of our home, very personable. Their work was beyond anything we could have imagined.

Jim called me back within 5 min of my HA service request. We scheduled for the next day but unfortunately, they got tied up at another job and after keeping me updated all day, we decided to reschedule for the following week. The workers called us the day of the rescheduled appointment to confirm the supplies they would need. They were about 2 hours behind schedule, but once they got here they got right to work. All in all, the work was done very well and everyone involved was very pleasant and courteous. It was a small project but they took it seriously and were priced well. Would hire again.

I hired Jim's company to do the work and it was done quickly, efficiently and affordably. I really liked that Jim was able to schedule someone to get to me quickly AND that when another issue arose on the job was happy and prepared to fix it with NO ADDITIONAL COST! I live in an older house and require a lot of work. Jim Pike Plastering is my favorite company and I will use him for all of my future drywall work. Thanks again!
