Jimmy's Local Appliance Repair

It was a dryer repair. The pro knew right away what the problem was. He needed to get a part which would take a few days to get. The part came and the pro came back quickly and repaired the dryer.

Did great work. Very fast in and out within an hour.

Jimmy was prompt and professional but very friendly. He was thorough as well. After suspecting what the the problem might be, he confirmed it, had the part on hand and fixed it. We were very pleased with the experience.

I called Jimmy and he worked me in the day I called - after another HomeAdvisor pro cancelled an appointment made two days earlier. I called him and he said answer a few questions and I may not have to come out and fix your machine. How often does a repairman help you diagnose a problem without a fee? It has never happened to me. Prompt, courteous and explained everything as he worked. I thought the price might have been lower.

Refridgerator was repaired but still had the leaking problem the same day it was fixed. Repaired on Saturday and called Jim on Monday to let him know. He said "no way." Then said it must be something else that is the problem. He told me he would come the next morning, Tuesday, between 8 and 9. At 10 am I called him because he did not show. I had to leave a message. I waited a half hour for a return call and no call so I called back and left another message. At 11am I received a text message...did not even know who it was from, at first. Well, it was from Jim. He partially credit me $74.85 for his waste of time service and still charged me $96.35 for not fixing the problem. He didnt tell me he was going to give me a credit, nor did he tell me he wasn't coming back. Getting the credit kind of told me he would not be returning. I would have preferred he come back to address the actual problem, even if I had to pay an additional charge because I still have to pay someone else to come out to do the repair. Very unprofessional, almost like he couldn't be up front with me that he didn't want to come back. I would have worked with him to save him from this poor review.

Very honest man. Explains what he is doing what has to be done. I asked you to tell me if it wasn t fixed and if it s not he will help you out. Would definitely hire him again

Found him to be realistic in what had to be done or not done. Didn't try to do work that wasn't necessary.

We had family coming and our second fridge was down. First inclination was to replace it but I thought it would be better to see if there was anyone local to come take a look and maybe save a few hundred dollars or more. Jimmy came out and took a look. Got it back up and running for a fraction of the price of replacing an old solid fridge with a new fridge that would probably fail in a year.

It was a little more money than I expected because the website said they give senior citizen discount. But he was on time, professional, kind, and that is what really matters
