Quality work is in the details. Jim did a great job, but poor on the details. Left me to clean up the stain on the house and removal of tape. Then I will need to go over many places that did not get stain.

Jim made a total mess of everything he touched. Gave me an estimate to install tv wall mount and run the DTV wires through wall. He also attempted to install a light fixture for me. He charged me double. I had to pay someone to come fix the wall mount fiasco and but a whole new light fixture. I had two different contractors look at the mess he made of my wall. both agreed that it was not done properly and the worse job they had seen. He cut the wires so short on the light fixture and left it hanging from the wires. It is a wonder it didn't fall. I had to hire someone to fix it all and had to purchase another new light fixture. It ended up costing me a fortune to fix his mistakes. Jim tried to blame me. I understand that he is no longer with Home Advisors. He should not take jobs that he is not qualified to perform.

"Pat or Nan didn't really know her name because she is a scam artist, this customer asked me to do work and when I couldn't finish that day was upset so that is why the lies and stories about my work, everything she said is a lie the, light was not cut short, the Tv mount was hung write, the outlet ran correctly I'm assuming she didn't like the light so she complained and made me pay for a light , the stories of all the contractors coming there to check work Is a another fabrication in attempt to get money back , pat was there the whole time and wouldn't shut he mouth with changing the plans and just getting in the way , She paid ,I left, the light was secure and the walls and wires still had to be secured and sheet rocked then she went to work on her scam with not letting me come back and finish instead pat said that's how I left it and EVERYTHING was not done right. I did this job almost a year ago and now the review team thought that was Ok to put on my profile without checking out the story from both parties , My 50 reviews should say enough about my work every job I give a 100% but there are times when you take jobs from cons and they deceive you and when things don't go as planned they try to verbally hurt your business . This cust threw threats trying to swindle the money from me so I ended up giving her 250$ back so she would stop threats and making stories of contractors and inspectors looking at my work, it didn't happen the way she said so she was mad and confused and wants to cheat me out of money . Pat Jones is a con and preys on small company's' like mine. I'm in business to make customers satisfied I'm not in business to cheat the customers. I keep getting better and smarter everyday in my business and I'm here to make customers happy and satisfied, and the ones like Pat Jones I have to not look back at the negative and deceitful doings and move on."

Jim did a good job of re-painting our family room ceiling. However, he left a film of dust over the entire house and left the plastic used to cover the floor. The house is empty and we have no trash pickup there still had to haul it away.

Jim was able to get to our project really fast, and completed it in 2 days, witch is saying something because we didn't give him a lot to work with as far as what our project was. He was whiling to get his hands dirty and saved us a lot of head aches. I would strongly recommend him to anyone needing a handyman.

Our water heater stopped working first thing on a Friday morning and Jim responded to my call promptly and was at our house troubleshooting by 10:30 AM. A very courteous and professional man, he diagnosed the issue and gave us our options. We ended up having a new water heater installed - had a 75 gallon but Jim recommended a 50 gallon tank which saved us significant money. I would recommend Jim to anyone - his diligence, timeliness, and honesty are hard to find! I will use him again and again.

If I could give a zero rating I would. Do Not Hire Jim. I was disappointed in his work, he refuses to make it right and blames me for his mistakes. The shower door does not open & close properly, he came back to make adjustments to the hinges, he added more caulking and propped things up with wood blocks. He did come a second time to adjust the hinges and said it is my fault they don't work (he stripped the threads by removing & reinstalling the hinges multiple times.) He said put a shower curtain over it if it doesn't work right. After I pointed out the problems he blames me for buying the wrong size unit. He should have told me that before he installed it. The whole unit is unusable and needs to be ripped out to start over.

"The threads on hinge screw wasn't stripped it was the head of the screw was rounded, I didn't tell her to put a shower curtain anywhere she never pointed out any problems because there were no problems Mona was informed at key areas of installation that adjustment and securement would be difficult to get with the shower surround and glass panels She should of taken the info I said and made a personal decision to return it if she wanted there is nothing wrong with the integrity of the shower nothing is scratched ,cracked, broken,bowed,stretched,destroyed in any way it still could be taken back strip the caulk back and take some screws out of the nailer strip pack up hardware and glass panels and take it back nothing wrong with the shower I did everything to get this customer satisfied there is nothing wrong with the shower install except a door and hinge adjustment which I couldn't achieve 100% seal due to the third wall , I explained everything to the customer about the model wasn't the right model for the space she wanted it in ,the size was no factor . Sometimes no matter what a person does in the contractor / homeowner relation the customer is clouded with decisions and construction barriers that prevents them to see the whole picture and not just a screw out of place or a line of caulking not straight, The shower is million X a useable shower it took a lot of work that the customer didn't see or didn't want yo see and it functions like it should. So I will move onward & upward to give my customers 110% to make them satisfied in the Handyman Service Industry! Thank-you JHS."

Jim was a great guy. Had to deal with a lot of rain delays. Not sure how many privacy fences he's installed. Minor stuff like posts not installed on 8 foot centers, so had to rig up a fix to connect panels to other panels/posts. Noticed on my invoice after that he listed that he installed latches and cleaned up excess dirt. I had to clean up dirt and busted up concrete. The latches I purchased didn't fit, but he did not install any others as stated. Overall, good job at an okay price. He's a bit messy so expect some clean up.

"Keeping the posts on 8' center was a challenge due to rain so concrete shifted,I should of pulled off the job but the cust wanted the fence ASAP, so I did the best I could to keep moving forward on the project with rain every day ,as far as clean up the spoil pile was raked away from posts so I could black dirt and seed, the remainder of spoil is the cust responsibility . I did attempt the latches but I had trouble with boring the levers in. I wanted to save customer $$$$ so I let him attach them when he could"

Jim installed our fence the end of February, he was out there when it was really cold and the ground was frozen and he was also out there the nice days when everything was a muddy mess. We are really happy with the work that was done and when anyone wants a recommendation I will tell them about Jim's Handyman Service.
