Joe and Corey were unbelievable. They built a closet in our bedroom, installed new lights, constructed a fireplace from nothing, installed an electric fireplace insert, repaired our wood floors, drywalled our ceiling and installed new moulding in the various rooms they worked in. They were prompt, clean, thoughtful, and overall went above and beyond. They did unbelievable work and we can't wait to hire them back for our next project!!

Joe was childish and unprofessional, he did not always show up when he said he would. Shortly after he started our project he sent us a messages stating that material had gone up significantly and that he would not make any money on our project, At one point he informed us he would have to let his assistant go because he was not making any money on our project. We signed a contract with Joe in March and he started the project in April where I find it hard to believe, as a master carpenter, he was unaware of building costs... I would think, as a builder , he would monitor the price of materials . Joe sent frequent messages that he was not making any money, that he would need to let his assistant go ( who by the way showed up one afternoon with his brand new truck and he told us he also bought a boat ) because he was not making any money. In another message Joe stated that his business is ruined because of our project . The unprofessional messages were concerning, our porch sat unfinished with messages sent to Joe asking him to return and complete the project. Joe told us he needed to move on to other projects to make money. There were times when he said he would show up to finish the work... and he did not show up, nor would he return our messages asking where he was and when was he coming. Joe did not always clean up after himself and when this was brought to his attention he accused us of being verbally abusive. With said communicating with Joe was very difficult. Additional Issues that Joe created included ordering too much material , which could not be returned, ordering the wrong size column wraps... which caused a number of avoidable delays. I ended ordering the column wraps myself, and they arrived 5 days after the order was placed at my home... Joe was appraised of the order as well as the delivery date and he was not here to install columns when they arrived. he arrived a week after the columns arrived to install where he used caulking, that when wet, ran down the sides of the columns and bled into the grain of the decking ( I think he did this purposely). He left screw heads exposed. He made design decisions without consulting us. He ripped our exiting gutters off the upper floor of our home for some unknown reason and did not reinstall them.. which has been a huge issue given all the rain. He did not cap the columns leaving the tops open to allow bugs, animals and water to get in.. again I think he made a conscious decision to damage the project. Joe should not be allowed to advertise his business on this site as he did not maintain the ethical standards set forth on this site. The project start day was mid April and to date we have no gutters. We used the appropriate caulk on the columns and we will need to hire someone to reinstall our existing gutters/ downspouts and we need to paint the door frame because 2 different colors were used to frame the door.

To simply put it, 5 Stars are not enough to justify the exceptional craftsmanship and customer attentiveness Joe provides his customers. Joe's input on our composite deck design enabled us to have some added features we did not originally consider and completed our project within budget, with impeccable quality! I would highly recommend Joe for any decking, remodeling, or new construction project.

He repaired my shed door and he did a great job! The original door was not made very sturdy. He reinforced the door with better quality materials. I would definitely use him again for any further carpentry needs!
